Batman: Arkham Universe

Chapter 12: Knightfall

This is a nine year time skip. Why did I skip nine years? Well, I wanted to showcase after the events of Arkham Knight, and in the Arkhamverse story line (excluding this story), Arkham Origins and it's DLC is in Batman's second year as a crime fighter, and Arkham Asylum is his tenth year.

Arkham City is his eleventh year, and Arkham Knight is his twelfth year. The chapter is literally the morning after Wayne Manor blown up. As well as it's important that you have to understand the context, the entire world in Arkhamverse believes Batman is dead, even though the fans believe he's still alive.

However, I will not try to theorize what actually happen to Batman, because Rocksteady has yet to give us closure from Arkham Knight, instead, I will focus on what the characters think of Batman's "death," but in this story, however, it'll be focused on the Steven Universe characters, and Phoebe. And I will try to tie up any loose ends for this story, most obvious one is the unmentioned DLC I had planned. Like in almost every Arkham game, there's a DLC that takes place a few days, one week total, after the events of the main campaign. 

The one I had planned was a rebel pearl screwing with the Diamonds, and Batman makes a return to stop her. The reason why this won't happen is because I wrote myself in a corner. I made it seem that Batman won't return after Chapter 10, so it would be entirely a plot-hole for me to do that.

If you're wondering if I would do another head canon Arkhamverse story (because there's such a huge gap between Origins and Asylum), I probably might. But I can't do anything relevant to the comics, or close to Batman's tenth year, because the canon story already covered most of them. I might do another crossover type of story to be canon in the Arkhamverse, since I made My Life as a Teenage Robot and Wander Over Yonder canon to the Arkhamverse (the actual TV shows, I haven't made any other stories of them being canon to the Arkhamverse. Although, I could make a MLaaTR crossover with the Arkhamverse, if I feel up to it). 

Suggestions of crossover Arkhamverse stories are welcomed, but never guaranteed of me creating them, mostly because I have to spend lots of time researching the series prior to making the story. Here's a list of series I just throw out to see what my options are (you can add something to the list, and I'll add an edited list):

The Incredibles (although, I have a crossover story planned for them, I may as well make it head canon to the Arkhamverse, too, but not directly).

My Life as a Teenage Robot

The Powerpuff Girls

Gravity Falls

Spiderman (not sure which one to do)

Captain American (same issue as Spiderman)

Remember, those are just ideas, and I haven't decided which one I want to do. I don't want to pick a series that I won't be able to express the amount passion I have for both that series and the Arkhamverse, like I did for this story.

Phoebe and Pink Diamond watched in horror as Wayne Manor was destroyed on TV. They both screamed, as this meant the death of a friend who changed their lives. The manor collapsed to the ground, fire surrounding the debris, Phoebe turned the TV off.
