Yeah, after breaking hearts of readers in Chapter 12, I felt like making something wholesome. Yeah, it's non-canon because Chapter 12 stated Batman never returned to Beach City and Homeworld. And yes, this is basically Homeworld Bound from Steven Universe Future, but with Batman and the Arkhamverse tied in it, and no Steven.
This is Batman post Arkham Asylum, where he still has some humility left in him until Arkham City destroyed it.
3rd Person P.O.V.
Batman warped to Homeworld. He saw how different it looked eight years after he had been here. He walked up the stairs and into the Palace.
The entire Ballroom where Pink and the other Diamonds enjoyed the dawn of Era-3 didn't look too different than it did eight years ago. Batman looked around the place. He noticed some gems spotted him in broad day light.
Batman looked very... weird in the daytime. As if he was just a average individual wearing a costume. They didn't say anything about him, nor did they do anything, because they fear of angering him.
He looked over to his right to see some amethysts congregating.
(Homeworld Amethyst) I can't believe half of Homeworld's gonna vote for that Diamond stooge zircon! Now, zircon...
She points to a different zircon.
(Homeworld Amethyst) That's a face you can trust.
(Homeworld Amethyst #2) Oh, stars! It's Batman!
(Homeworld Amethyst) Run!
They both ran away from him. He hadn't spoken a word since he got here, and already they're scared of him. He walks further to the chairs of the Diamonds.
None of the Diamonds are in this room. They must be in their rooms. He saw a crowd of tourist gems.
He might as well listen to the tour guide.
(Tour Guide) As you can see, this truly was the center of power in the the gem empire throughout the second era. When you walk through these storied halls, it's easy to feel as if you, too, have the power of a Diamond. Legend has it that The Batman was secretly here inside the Palace during the Ball of Era-3. The Batman is the sole reason why we have this tour in the first place. Everything that we do in Era-3 is all of his doing, as he convinced Yellow, Blue, and even the biased White Diamond to change their ways. Right here, is a gem who saved The Batman's life that night. Tell us what The Batman is like, dear.
Batman was behind the crowd of gems, not trying to get noticed, but he recognized the voice of the gem who spoke next.
(Spinel) He is absolutely amazing! I cannot believe it, either! I just found him lying down on the ground, unconscious, with the guards looking for him. At first, I thought I shouldn't have, but then I didn't know what I was doing next, and then I was dragging him inside my little home! He woke up and I helped him! Me, a worthless spinel, saved and helped the great Batman! He even trusted me to keep the Diamonds safe while they were poofed! Can you believe it?! Oh, my stars, I would shatter just to talk to him again!
(Tour Guide) Thank you, dear. Now, if you'll follow me this way to the gift shop.
The group walked to the local gift shop. Spinel almost followed the group of gems, but caught something in the corner of her eye. She turned and squealed.
