rosechuck_chuckDude, I just can't get enough of that photo of Batman in that thumbnail. So many fitting things about his character being shown in that picture. You could practically FEEL the suppressed power beneath the armor and can imagine all the possible things he's thinking about in his head.
Oh, yeah, why am I rewriting this? Well, looking back, I think I could have written this better. Because I can never write anything and hit it totally awesome and so re-readable, so I'm going to try again with this.
And because I accidentally offended GachaEvery, and I need to make this right for her.
And a lot of characters are going to have a major change of how they were originally written to give them a more canon and authentic feel to how they would actually act.
Batman. Despite being the main character, there are a few things flawed about Batman in the original chapter. He is/was too nice, mostly because this takes place just a little after Arkham Origins, where Batman isn't quite level-headed and more angry compared to the other games, excluding Arkham Knight. Even though Batman learned a valuable lesson about the importance of allies and became slightly witty, he still has anger issues and lack of patience when it comes to people that isn't Gordon or Alfred. So, Batman isn't going to be 'nice' with anyone on Homeworld. Sometimes when he talks, he can be emotional, like how he was in Arkham Origins. I'm just hoping that I don't make Batman too emotional, or too rude.
Spinel. According to my handy-dandy Spinel-consultant, GachaEvery, Spinel had a lot of potential, and it all went to waste. In other words, I dropped the ball with Spinel and she needed reworked. So in shorter words, Spinel's gonna be a main character as well, in a way. And she and Batman will have an arc together (not the way you'd think, if that makes sense).
Pink Diamond. I felt like Pink Diamond's hatred of the Diamonds came out of nowhere after chapter 10, since she seemed cooperative, so her hatred will be shown in this rewrite. And my Spinel-consultant said we didn't get enough Spinel and Pink moments, so I have to fix that.
White Diamond. As much as I love White Diamond and feel a little bit proud of how she turned out, White Diamond trying to use Batman's body as her vessel just seems a little unfitting to her character. So, she's not going to use Batman as a flesh-suit this time. Now, why would I make White Diamond want to wear Batman like a suit? Because I wanted to make another character who had an obsession with Batman (there's literally no shortage of characters obsessed with him) but with a different reason compared to Yellow Diamond. Yellow Diamond is obsessed with how much of a powerful unit Batman is and how much of a right-hand man he would be if she manages to control him. White Diamond is obsessed with Batman's capabilities (pretty much how much raw power lies within Batman without enhancers or supernatural influences) and wants to harness it for herself, because she's been proven to be a megalomaniac, so to take Batman's body to have for herself seemed like something she'd do (obviously not the giantess White Diamond). Also, a little bit of a correction on a continuity error that I may or may not have made on this story. I think I may have made it where Batman is resistant/immune to White Diamond's mind control, which may seem fitting to his character, but after Batman's reveal in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, it is canonical that Arkham Batman can fall victim to mind control, and it's by Brainaic, and White Diamond has better mind control powers than him, since she could do that at will. And if Batman can't fall victim to White Diamond's mind control, then how does he fall victim to Brainaic? It's just a continuity error/plot armor
