Chapter 11

Kemani

"Follow me."

"Where are we going?" She asked

I had tied a handkerchief around her eyes. I led her to the table.

"Ready?"

She nodded.

"You suuure?" I teased.

"Yes!!" She giggled.

I took the handkerchief off.

"Wow! It's so beautiful! You did this Kemani?" She asked.

"Yeah. I wanted to make our first night out special.

"Wow! This is so beautiful." She looked down at her phone. "Excuse me for a minute." She said

"Okay."

About 5 minutes later she came back.

"You alright" I asked.

"Yes. Sorry I had a patient who I said call only in emergency. Well her emergency was not having me in the room with her while she was giving birth." She said making me laugh.

"Sorry for her but you're all mine for the next 5 days. She'll just have to understand." I said making her cheeks turn pink.

"I think we can agree on that." She replied

"Well I ordered us wine. I'll pour you a glass."

"Oh Thank you. I hate that you went through all this trouble. I'm not very hungry." She said sadly

"Okay. Well whatever you want order it. I'll take care of you."

She blushed.

"Kay." She said with a smile.

After 10 minutes of occasional small talk & sipping wine I decided to break the ice.

"Hey. I have an idea."

"What's that?" She asked.

"Let's go for a walk & talk. I'll even bring a bottle of wine & 2 glasses."

"Alright let's go." She said excitedly.

We began walking on the shore of the beach.

"It's so beautiful out here." She looked out at the ocean smiling.

"Yeah it is. But so are you." I said making her blush yet again.

"What's with the consistent compliments?" She asked grinning.

"I just want you to know how sorry I am. I was a complete ass when we first met. I'm trying to make it up to you." I replied

"I'm not mad at you. I hit your Porsche. I get it. I've forgiven you already Mr. Kemani." She said running her hand down my arm.

"I was an ass so I'm gonna use this trip as an opportunity to make it up to you. Also I want you to get to know the real Kemani. Cause I was an ass a a couple months ago."

She laughed.

"I can't disagree. But you brought me to this beautiful resort & you got me away from my stressful career. I haven't been out of Atlanta since I opened my practice. This is just what I needed. Thank you." she said.

"My pleasure beautiful lady." I replied kissing her hand.

She blushed yet again.

"Soooo... As charming as you are it's hard to believe you're single. Wait...you are single right?" She asked.

"Unfortunately I am." I said.

"Why? You seem like a really good guy. Handsome, good career, very sweet." She said. 

"There was someone. I was engaged. I'm kind of embarrassed to tell you this but she cheated on me". I said.

I went through the whole story telling her every last detail. She grabbed my hands.

"Hey. It's her loss. You didn't deserve that. You're a great guy. You will find someone one day who will love you & treat you like the King you are." She said.

I couldn't help but to tear up.

She took her hand & wiped my tear. She smiled. I kissed her hand. Then her wrist. Her shoulder. I could tell its been a while cause she shivered from every single kiss no matter how soft. I smelled her neck. Damn she smells sweet. Our eyes locked. I placed my hands right above her butt & pulled her towards me. She wrapped her arms around my neck. I leaned in. Then she leaned in.

Then she pulled back.

"I'm sorry. I can't."

Then she walked away in a hurry from me.

"Wait! Armani." I shouted.

She looked back at me but kept going.

Damn what did I do?
