Chapter 23

Alright this is 8 weeks later. Armani is now 20 weeks. Her grandma has moved to Atlanta with her. Kemani has quit his job. Found out Indiya's baby isn't his. Now he occasionally sees Armani over lunch to discuss the babies.

"Okay sweetie. Everything looks good with the twins."

"Is it normal to be this huge at 20 weeks?" I asked.

"Yes sweetie." She said.

"I think you look beautiful." Said Michael.

I winked at him.

"That's so sweet. Okay so would you like to know the sex?" She asked

"Yes." We said together.

"Alright Twin A is a girl. Twin B is a boy." She said.

I smiled.

"Told you. Now pay up." I told Mike.

"Sike." He joked.

She gave us a few pictures of the babies & we were on the way to eat some lunch.

Okay let me update you guys. Michael arranged for my grandma to come visit me. I was so happy she was here that when it was time for her to go I didn't want her to. So he & I went looking for a house for her. I asked her to stay with me but she refused.

Michael & I have been dating. Taking things slow. When someone is there for you its kinda hard to not recognize that. We haven't kissed or had sex yet. He made it very clear that he wants me to be over Kemani before anything like that happens.

Kemani is around sometimes. He came to one Doctor's appointment but after I told him I still didn't wanna be with him he got all mad & stormed out. We meet occasionally to discuss the kids.

I have been put on bed rest so I've turned my practice into a pregnancy crisis center. Sarah runs mostly everything. I only come in to answer questions that she can't.

Everything has been pretty good.

"I know what you want to do." Mike said.

"What?" I asked.

"You wanna go shopping as bad as I do?" He asked.

"Yes!" I laughed.

"Come on let's go." He said.

"Yay." I squealed

We pulled up to Burlington's to buy some baby furniture. Then we got some clothes. About 10 outfits for each baby with baby booties & mittens to match. I got my little princess some little headbands.

"Alright baby." We got enough stuff. We can come back next appointment." He said

"Okay." I answered.

We walked to the counter with all of our stuff. The total came out to be $656.78.

I pulled out my debit card.

"I got it baby." Mike said.

"No its okay." I said.

"Baby I got it." He insisted.

"Okay." I smiled.

He handed her $700 cash & waited on the change.

"Excuse me ma'am is there any way we can come back & get this? We have a small car." I asked.

"Sure. Fill out this small piece of paper. I'm gonna staple a copy  of your receipt to it & when you come pick it up show the copy to the associate you talk with." She explained
