"Ms. Stevens. You can come on back."
I tensed up. After getting sick at the bar-b-que, I opened my Period App & saw that I was 6 weeks late. I immediately made an appointment to go to my OB/GYN. Unfortunately I had to wait 2 long weeks before my appointment.
"Okay Ms. Stevens."
"Please call me Armani." I said.
"Okay Armani. I'll need a sample of urine from you. Wipe with this & catch your urine midstream. There's a small door beside the toilet. Open it & leave your sample in there." She explained.
She must be new telling me all this shit like I didn't spend half of my life in school for this.
"Is Amanda here?" I asked.
"She's updating medical files." She said.
"Tell her Dr. Armani Stevens is here from Bundle of Joy OB/GYN Clinic." I said.
"Uh yes ma'am." She said.
After I gave them my sample they told me to sit in the room & wait on my results.
After about 10 minutes Amanda came in.
"Hey lady." She said smiling.
"Hey girl." I said.
"Well congrats mommy. You're pregnant." She said.
"Oh goodness." I said.
"You don't seem happy."
"No its not that. I just wasn't expecting this. Well I kinda was but you know now that's its real its just unbelievable." I said.
"You're going to be a great mom. Don't worry." She said.
"Now smile." She said.
I smiled.
"Okay I'm gonna get some blood from you to check your hormone level. But you know the drill Dr." She winked.
I smiled.
"Oh too well." I replied.
"Oh & ill be back in to do an ultrasound." She said.
"Okay."
After I got my blood drawn Nurse Amanda came back in to do my ultrasound.
"Alright. Let me set up here. This is gonna be cold girl." She said
She squirted the gel on my belly & started.
"Okay I'm gonna check your ovaries first. Now I'm gonna look & make sure that the baby is in your uterus." She continued.
"You're measuring at about 8 weeks 5 days."
"Oh wait. Looks like 2 embryos. Armani. Honey I'm seeing twins." She said.
"What? Let me look at that." I said.
"Oh my goodness."
Damn as soon as I got some I got pregnant. & with some twins! Oh goodness!
"There's your babies." She said.
"Oh my gosh." I said tearing up.
"Would you like a few pictures?" She asked .
"Yes please!" I said.
After my appointment I went to Izzo's to get a burritto & return to work. I don't know how I'm gonna tell Kemani this.
