Chapter 13: Care (2)

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

The next day the teacher handed out the results and the rankings were already posted

I looked at the ranking

"(Y/n)-chan look" my bestfriend says as she pointed my name

I smiled as I stare at my name "What? You're smiling?!" She gasped

"Why?" I asked

"Well in this situation you would freak out"

"Well, being a number 2 is still great" I said as I walk away

"Well, you're right atleast you're not on the 55" she said

"Why who's on the 55?" I asked

"No one!" She quickly answered, I giggled

"(Y/n)-chan you're only on rank 2!" Shinichiro-kun says

"Yeah" I smiled and he gasped

"In this situation you would freak out and turn into a complete monster!" He said as I whack his head

"Why would I freak out you idiot!" I sneered

"Sorry!"

"Well, being on the rank 2 isn't bad you know" I said as I sighed

"Yeah atleast you weren't on the last ranking"

"Why? Who was on the last ranking?"

"No one!"

When I went inside the classroom

"(Y/n)-chan you were on the rank 2" they said in unison

"Yeah I know I saw it" I smiled and they gasped

"In this situation you would freak out and—"

"And what?" I glared making them shut their mouths

"I don't know what's wrong with you guys it's just a ranking" I sighed and again they gasped all of them

"(Y/n)-chan is this you?!" (B/f/n) says as she shakes me back and forth

"Of course I am!" I said as I slapped her hand away

"Maybe you left yourself at the roller coaster" Shinichiro-kun thoughts nodding to his self

"Stupid!" I whack his head as they turned to me

"Roller coaster?" They asked

"Well yeah we went to the amusement park" he said

"Ooohhh~~ in short you were on a date?" They cooed as I stood flustered

"Yes it sounds like that!"

"Shut up!" I yell

"It wasn't a date!!" I yell

"Ohhhh what a tsundere" my best friend cooed

"I'm not! And his siblings were there too!"

"Oooh~~ getting to know your soon to be in-laws huh?" She cooed

"Shut up! I swear i'm going to kill you" she ran as I chased her

When school was finally over I walked home alone when I spotted a kid being bullied, they were about to kick the kid when I jumped in and hugged the kid protectively dodging the kick

"What are you doing!" I glared at the man who was in front of me

"Do you want to get you ass kicked too huh!" He yells

"If you don't leave this kid alone i'm going to call the police!" I yell

"Then do it kid!" He provoked

"Hey! What are you doing yelling to a girl" I turned to see Shinichiro-kun and his friends  beside him who glared at the guy

"Let's go" the man says as they walked away

I turned to the kid

"Aki are you okay?" I asked the boy but he slapped my hand away

"Why do you care?" He stood up as he walked away

I looked down as I stood up

I turned to them and smiled

"Thanks" then I walked away

Aki is my half brother my Dad had an affair with a maid before and Mom found out. They said I was just a baby that time.

But when I found out I had a little brother and sister I was happy even though they were just my half siblings

When I arrived at the house I went inside my room as I studied then a few minutes later someone knocked at my door

I opened it revealing Tina with a tray of food

"You should eat first" she said as she put it on my desk

"Thanks Tina" I smiled as I started eating

"Today I met Aki, he was being bullied by some bunch of gangsters so I jumped in to save him" I smiled

"I wanted to talk to him or maybe atleast visit them but he's just so cold" I added

"Don't worry I'm sure Aki loves you" Tina says as she pats my head

"I wish I could see Eli but it seems like she doesn't wanna see me" I lowly said

"Hmm.. Don't be sad i'm sure she wants to see you!" Tina says cheering me up.

"Just think positive okay!"

"You're mom's going to the school tomorrow to get your report card" she says as I smiled

"Tina, I was rank 2!" I cheerfully said

"What! I'm so proud of you!" She says as she hugged me

"You really changed (Y/n)-chan, you used to be sad when you don't get to the top or rank 1 but now" She gazed at me fondly

"That Shinichiro kid changed you into a humble kid" she says as she pats my head

"What?! I.. I mean yeah he did" I looked away feeling my cheeks burn

"Atleast I had fun when I was with him you know we went to the museum and he made me eat ice cream too it was so good!"

I talked and talked about the bonding me and Shinichiro-kun had while Tina listened to me happily.

Next Day when I went to the classroom, Mom was here to get my report card when suddenly someone called me to go to the office

I saw Mom sitting at the chair tapping her shoes as she stare at me coldly

"I bet there's a misunderstanding in her card and that she had to be on the top 1" Mom says

"We checked it again and again Maam and she's really on the top 2"

"Well check it again or I will sue this school!"

"Maam it is still the same" the principal answered

"Mom it's just a ranking and I'm on the top 2 so there's no big deal" I smiled only to receive a slap in the face.

I stood on my place frozen as I looked at the ground, I could feel my cheeks burn.
