As soon as that girl left, Toby turned to me angrily,
"What the fuck, Tim?" I smirked, rubbing his knuckles with my thumb.
"Aw, c'mon baby lighten up! We could do with the fun, besides," I leaned closer over the table, "It's part of our date~" He rolled his eyes, seemingly calming down.
"The date you're planning as you go along." I grinned, giving his hand a light squeeze.
"I always do." The waiter came over with our food and we began to chat in between mouthfuls, simple, normal things. What our music taste was, favourite pastimes, colours, foods; stuff we could never really have the chance to ask about back home. When the food had finished, we left and headed off for the park. I figured we could get some icecream and sit together to watch the sunset. Cliché as fuck."Do you wanna get going to the party then?" I asked softly, his head slowly raised from my shoulder,
"I guess... What about L-"
"I texted Brian to come get her." I interrupted, Toby frowned, but chose not to say anything. For that I'm glad, because for a shy teenager he can really give you an earful.
"Hey, nerds. Havin' a good time?" That oh so familiar voice sneered playfully. I turned around,
"Hell yeah. We're heading out to a party in the woods, what you gonna do for the rest of the night?" A smirk tugged onto his lips,
"I dunno, but I bet ten bucks that whiskey in the freezers gone." Toby laughed and nodded, Brian grabbed the leash. "Well, later fuckers, don't get too pissed."Toby's P.O.V:
We had just arrived in the woods to be greeted by that girl,
"Hey, glad you could make it!" She called, walking towards us. "Now, there's gonna be a midnight countdown and lucky kiss, you guys will be doing that right?" My face went red. I didn't want to kiss around a bunch of other people, I don't even know them! Masky's face tinted pink too,
"Uhh, yeah, sure... I could use some luck right now." The girl grinned and waved before disappearing into the crowd, I turned to Masky.
"Seriously?" He shrugged,
"Mind if I go have a smoke? I'll meet you back here in twenty?" I nodded, looking around at the layout of the area. I needed somewhere to hide until this whole thing was over... My eyes landed on a snackbar close to some large trees, they cast a pretty creepy looking shadow... Perfect. I observed the punch bowl hesitantly, there's a good chance it's spiked. Whatever, I don't really mind at this point, anything to take my mind off this obnoxious music.Masky's P.O.V:
Okay so I literally stood here and smoked two whole cigarettes... It's about 11:50, better find Toby and get this over with, cause girls like that hunt you down to buy goddamn photos. I don't know where he'll be at this point, I hope to god some slut hadn't taken him home...
"Toby!" He looked up, completely out of it,
"Wha?" He mumbled out, I think he's been drinking. I stepped up to him and wrapped my arms protectively around him just as a girl went to talk to him, glaring at her.
"Ugh, the cute one's are always gay!" She exclaimed, storming off.
"C'mon Toby, let's go so we can make it to the count down." I said, tugging on his arm and leading him over to the centre. By the time we had got there everyone was counting.
"10! 9! 8!" I looked down at him, then over to the side, the girl crouching down and giving a thumbs up. "7! 6! 5!" I can smell the scent of alcohol from him, I know he's drunk out of his mind. "4! 3!"
"Hey, Tobes?" He looked up,
"2!"
"Wh-"
"1!"
I pressed my lips against his, tasting the cheap liquor in exchange for the smoke in my lungs, bringing my hands to his hips, our tongues met passionately, his hands tugging at my hair in just the right way... There's no way he'll remember this... As we pulled away for air, the girl bounded over, presenting two photos.
"In case your boyfriend forgets." She smiled, "Free of charge." I nodded gratefully and took the pictures, Toby looked up,
"Boyfriend?" The girl laughed,
"Yes, you two are dating, right?" He stared up at me, eyes glistening,
"Really?!" He buried his face in my chest.
"He's a bit tipsy isn't he?" I nodded,
"One too many, I guess." She grinned, well, see you next year!" And with that she strode off.Toby swiped his hands under his eyes, hardly able to stand.
"You tired?" He nodded. "Wanna go home now?"
"Uhuh." My lips curved into a gentle smile as I picked him up bridal style, retreating into the forest and towards our bedroom.
