Toby's P.O.V:

"Why the fuck are you with Jack all of the time, if you like Tim so much?" He looked up at me, his glance cold and pugnacious. I gulped.

"W-What?" He growled, a sudden change of attitude.

"You heard me. Just because Tim's mad at me, doesn't mean I stop lookin' out for him. He's a brother to me, okay? If you hurt him I'll fucking rip out your throat." I shook my head, holding up my hands.

"L-Listen... I just..." I tried to get my words out, "J-Jack's my friend! I-I... I didn't even give you an answer! I could hate Masky for all you know!" He softened, and let out a sneer.

"Because it isn't so fuckin' obvious?" My face flushed pink,

"W-What?"

"Oh c'mon... He likes you, you like him. Plus, I seen what happened yesterday, you didn't close your door and mine's directly opposite." My face reddened further.

"Well, you have a lot to learn. Especially starting off with someone as complicated as him." I raised an eyebrow, "Well, with his conditions, nightmares, inability- Or rather his refusal to understand or question most things, that and the fact he never verbally expresses his emotions." My mouth formed a perfect 'O' shape. "Yep. Not as simple as you'd think on first impression, huh?" I nodded, trying to take everything in. "Tim's only ever had about two girlfriends, they scarpered after he had one of his nightmares. Y'see, he can get quite violent sometimes, clawing at the backs of whoever he sleeps with, that sort of thing." Really? "I guess you've decided you don't like him quite as much now, right?" I shook my head.

"No. So what? I have problems too." Brian smiled,

"You're a good kid." I couldn't help but smile back.

"How would I get him to..." I trailed off,

"I'll leave that to you. I can't tell you everything." With that he stood up, waved at me, and left. I slid up onto my bed, hands behind my head, in deep thought about everything I'd just been told... Tim...
