-Crimson stained the once cream carpet, my hands, my face, my clothes. They were covered.-

-I cradled the body in front of me, tears flowing freely down my cheeks.-

-Her face was contorted in agony, her beautiful green eyes still open. They were vacant and stained-

-"Everyone else... Gone... EVERYONE ELSE HAS LEFT ME!... Don't go..."-

-I tried to touch my fingers together but they had gone numb-

I had shut the door behind me, the creaking sound echoed through the empty halls, creating an almost creepy atmosphere. Sucking in my breath I licked my dry, chapped lips nervously and lit a cigarette. Smoking seemed to calm my nerves. I had tripped over a little piece of loose carpeting and dropped my cigarette,

"Shit!" I exclaimed, and quickly stood up to stomp out the flames. Okay, so they weren't the most glamorous block of flats. I let out a sigh and fumbled in my jacket pockets for my lighter, and the half empty pack... Noticing my duffel bag laying over turned, the contents spilled out onto the floor- Shit! I crouched down, picking up the white plastic and observing it for a few seconds. That overwhelming urge again... I could feel the cough rising in my throat.... No. I had to wait until I reached the forest, so she was safe. I never was sure what I got up to when I wore this, but it was bad. Always bad...

Once I woke up in Rosswood, a major migraine and no memory of what happened. That's when the smell hit me. I was covered in blood. Someone elses blood. The thought still makes me sick... This was me doing this... Me. I shuddered and stuffed everything back inside, leaning up against the wall with my hands in my pocket, head down.

"Wright." An angry voice greeted, I looked up and snarled,

"Smith." I had caught him checking out my girlfriend more than once. I wanted nothing more to punch all of his fucking teeth down his throat, braces and all....- I can't control these thoughts sometimes... It scares me.

"Finally walked out on ol' Ellie, huh?" I could practically hear him licking his lips in anticipation. Fucking pervert. I growled.

"You fucking wish, kid. I swear if you so much as lay a finger on her while I'm gone-" I grabbed his collar and he smirked, he knew I couldn't touch him. A fully grown man beating up a highschooler? I could be jailed for that. I muttered some cuss words under my breath and released my grip, he quickly scuttled inside. Resuming my search for my lighter, I began to pat all of my pockets; I swear I fucking hate my memory. "Wait..." I mumbled, my fingers enclosing around something, I pulled out my hand and, "Yes!"

One set back after another. I checked my watch and sighed, my thumb brushing the wheel. Once. Twice. A third time... "Fuckin..." I tried again. "C'mon... Light!" One last try sent the sparks flying. "'Bout time." I grumbled through the cigarette on my lips, taking a drag and exhaling the smoke. A content sigh.

AAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHH! TI-!

My head shot up and I dropped my bag. I started running, running towards the apartment... I began pounding on the door. "ELLIE?! ELLIE OPEN UP!! ELLIE PLEASE!" I ran a hand through my hand and raided my pants for my keys. I had them, went to put them in the lock , and dropped them. Just as I leaned down... The door opened.

-He was here. I could feel it. The nagging feeling at the back of my brain, my breath turned ragged.-

-By now I had dropped her lifeless corpse and was on my hands and knees, the choking feeling rising in my throat-

-Warm liquid began to seep out of my mouth, an I shivered, finally giving into the temptation-

-The scratching took refuge in my windpipe, the urge to cough rising.-

-And with that, I was expelled into a peaceful unconsciousness.-
