Alexandria Lennon
After storming out of the brat's room, I gathered my thoughts and decided who I should visit.
I went to the second floor and turned left.
I gathered all my courage and went to the Duke. I need to hear what he has to say before I decide who I should trust and for me to figure out who my key out of here is.
When I reached his door, I took a deep breath before knocking.
"Is that you, my love?" I heard him ask from the inside.
'This flirt.'
"No. It's Alexandria." I corrected him and I couldn't stop myself from sounding snarky.
I could hear his laughter with his footsteps, "Same thing."
The door opened and I met his purple eyes. His towering build shadowed over me and for a minute that scared me.
But he flashed a playful smile that made me annoyed instead.
"Hello, my love!" He greeted me as he made way for me to enter.
My eyes rolled upwards as I went inside his room. "Stop calling me 'my love'. It annoys me."
I heard him laugh as he took the seat in front of me. "Oh? But addressing someone in a familiar term is a scientifically proven way to shorten social distances. Seeing that I would really like a more intimate relationship with you, I'm afraid you will have to pardon my impudence, my love."
'Intimate relationship?! Scientifically proven way?! PARDON YOUR IMPUDENCE?! What the---?!'
I looked at him in disbelief. 'THIS NO FILTER, PERVERTED, NERD!'
"W-what are you a love scientist?" My confidence was much more pulverized than I expected it to be.
I heard him chuckle which made me turn red in embarrassment.
'The more I talk to this man, the more I realize how dumb I am.'
"But I'm glad you have decided to come and see me again, my love." He told me while smiling. I decided not to scold him anymore or else he might have a smart argument again that I can't dispute with.
"Yes, I was hoping you could provide me more details about this mansion." I headed straight to the point.
He looked at me puzzled, "My! How odd it is that the owner of the house would ask the guest the nature of their own residence."
I suddenly got nervous. 'What am I supposed to say? I haven't prepared an excuse!'
"But seeing that you are in a distressed state, I suppose I could offer you a little help."
I sighed in relief. 'Thank god! He made an excuse for me.'
I nodded furiously in agreement. 'You're so right. I'm very distressed.'
"But what would you give me in return? I am a businessman and I do not make pointless exchanges." He added.
I couldn't control myself from frowning. 'But I don't have any money. What could I possibly trade him with?'
'No way! Does he trade with time too?!'
My eyes widened in bewilderment. I have to think things through first.
It just daunted me how seriously valuable my time is so I can't go around trading it. I'll try and get more clues from the other inhabitant first.
I stood up from my seat and looked at him, "On second thought, I don't want your help."
He smiled and stood up from his seat too, "Hmm... Quite stubborn, aren't you? I don't dislike that about you. It makes pursuing your heart all the more interesting."
He followed me to the door, "But I'm sure you'll come around eventually." He added.
I just gave him a timid smile and walked out of there.
'Well, that was worthless.'
All I got from him is that he's a genius and a flirt.
I headed to the attic and hoped I'll get something from it.
-
When I got to the attic, I found him staring out the window again.
'Does he not move?'
I decided to take the space by his side and peeked out of the window too. But there wasn't much to look at.
'Just the sky.'
I got curious so I asked him, "What are you looking at?"
A few moments have passed. I wonder if he will answer.

"...the sky." I almost jumped in shock when he suddenly spoke.
"Oh." That was all I managed to say.
Silence surrounded us again.
He's still ignoring me. I thought about what I should ask him.
"Have I angered you in the past? If I have, I apologize." I said to him but he just gave me a puzzled look and ignored me again.
'I just might as well be stuck here.'
I tried to find something in the sky. Maybe there's something he's seeing that I can't see.
I've spent minutes looking for something wrong with it like how there's something wrong in Joker, the Duke, and the brat's minds.
'Maybe there's something wrong with the mind of this handsome creature too. Definitely. I'm not unsure.'
I give up. I looked at him and decided to ask him instead, "Why are you looking at the sky?"
"Because it's pretty." He said nonchalantly.
My brow furrowed from his reason.'Why don't you look at me instead? Joke.'
'Why don't you look in the mirror instead? It's much prettier than the sky.' I wanted to tell him that but I didn't.
I looked at the time and decided to go back.'I didn't get anything from any of them!'
As I was walking down the stairs, I noticed the brat leaning on the doorway of his room. He flashed a smug grin when he saw me, "Had a worthwhile day, Alexandria?"
'What an annoying brat!'
