Alexandria Lennon
I looked at the plum-colored door.
I took a deep breath before opening it,
Subconscious Chronicle (Reality) Plum, Door 4
I was in the music room once again.
I saw Shaw handing Alexandria a bouquet of roses and white chocolates. His face was flushed red but he tried to maintain his acting cool expression.
Alexandria looked at it in confusion and asked, "What's this?"
"O-oh, just nothing! I picked it u-up on my way home. T-there's no special meaning to it, if you don't want it then I'll just throw it away." Shaw said with a pretense coolness.
'That just might be the worse pickup line I have heard my whole life.'
The little Alexandria and I smirked at the same time.
"What a coincidence! Today just happened to be valentine's day. If I sell, I'd probably make quite a lot-"
I chuckled at the cheekiness of my young self.
"PLEASE DON'T SELL THEM!" Shaw stopped her in panic.
Alexandria smirked and asked, "I thought you didn't want them, why are you being so worked up for?"
"I...I-I..."
Alexandria chuckled at the way Shaw stuttered.
'What a cheeky little thing.'
"Don't look so nervous! I was just teasing. Seriously, you're four years older than me but you don't feel like someone older than me." She commented.
Shaw looked embarrassed so Alexandria stopped with her cheekiness and thanked him instead, "Thank you for the presents but next time just please be your usual self."
With that, darkness enveloped me once again and I returned to the Prince's subconscious.
'How could I forget these sweet memories?'
I walked towards the next door and opened it.
Subconscious Chronicle (Reality) Sangria, Door 5
I found myself in our tiny apartment unit.
It was less shabby than I remember it.
I saw Alexandria and Shaw in the living room. They were no longer tiny kids.
Alexandria's body was slowly developing into a fetching young lady and Shaw had a growth spurt. He'd also become boyishly handsome and lean.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Alexandria angrily asked Shaw.
Shaw looked down and said quietly, "I wanted to see you..."
"Your mother was furious enough to find that I've been sneaking in your house for years behind her back! Hurry up and go home before she finds out!" Alexandria angrily ordered Shaw.
But Shaw only stood there unmoving.
"Don't just stand there! Go!" Alexandria shooed him away.
"I'm leaving for Germany soon. This will probably be the last time I'll see you." Shaw said quietly.
I saw how Alexandria's face turned into a pained expression for a second. But she was quick to cover it up with a blank expression.
"Can I have your number? Or email?" Shaw hopefully asked.
Alexandria slowly shook his head and said in a weak voice, "I don't have a cellphone or a computer."
Shaw's expression looks like his last hope just had been crushed.
A still silence surrounded both of them.
"I... Well... It was nice knowing you," Alexandria broke the silence in an expressionless voice.
Alexandria turned her back on Shaw and started to walk away but Shaw was quick on his toes and hugged Alexandria from behind.
I didn't miss how a tear escaped her eye that she quickly wiped away with her hands.
They both stood there like that for quite some moments.
Alexandria held Shaw's hand gently as if she was touching the most precious of gold.
"You can't hug me forever." She said more to herself than to him.
"I know." He said weakly.
"You've always tolerated me so please tolerate me just one last time." Shaw pleaded and then pulled her into a hug again.
I saw Alexandria's bitter smile as she hugged him back.
"Remember that time you told me to get a new dream? Well, I have a new one. It's to be with you that's why I agreed to go to Germany so I could be more successful and capable to make that dream into a reality." He told her.
"I know this is sudden but can you please wait for me?" He pleaded.
Alexandria smiled bitterly and said, "My father once said something similar to my mother but look at her now. I always promised myself I'd never become like her but I'm just like her after all."
Shaw's face lit up and asked in disbelief, "Y-you'll wait for me?! You mean it?"
Alexandria chuckled and said, "Yes, I will. Now go-Hey!"
Shaw took off Alexandria's necklace that had a limited edition of the magical girl card that was a gift from her father.
"We're a couple now! And couples exchange things that are important to them with each other. That's why I'll hold onto this for a while." Shaw explained with a smile.
"But if you don't want to-" Shaw tried to return the necklace but Alexandria stopped his hand.
"I never said no. But what are you going to give me in return?" Alexandria asked.
"My bird, White. White was the only thing my mother let me keep because it was from my deceased father. He's the only friend I have before you came." Shaw explained and showed Alexandria the golden cage with a beautiful white bird inside.
"The cage looks expensive. How could you be so sure that I would sell these the moment you go?" Alexandria asked cheekily.
"I am fine with it. You are the most important person to me and you are also the kindest person that I've met." Shaw said with a sweet smile on his face.
Alexandria blushed and said, "S-stupid! I'm the only person you've met! Now go back home before your mother finds out you're gone!"
"Oh...Ok."Shaw obediently gets up and turns to leave.
Alexandria panicked and she quickly held his hand to stop him, "Wait!"
Just as Shaw was about to look back, Alexandria had already planted a kiss on his cheek.
"Wha-w-w-w...." Shaw stuttered and turned red.
The cheeky little thing just chuckled and said, "I knew that'll make you stutter!"
"Don't forget to write to me okay?" She reminded him with a bright smile on her face.
