Alexandria Lennon

I was so confused by what I saw but I shook off that feeling.

Afraid of what I was gonna see next, I slowly walked to the next door and opened it.

Subconscious Memory (Reality) Purple, Door 2

I was back in the music room again.

I saw the two kids looking at each other bewildered.

The boy was seating by the piano and was looking at the girl in front of him in amazement and surprised.

While the scrawny little girl who looked so out of place inside the fancy music room looked at the boy with fear in her eyes because she had been caught.

"You are the girl who's living in the apartment building across the street." The boy said.

He looked at her in amazement and said, "W-wow... I can't believe you're actually here."

"B-but I don't remember inviting you over. Isn't it illegal to go to someone's house without permission?" He asked unsurely.

The girl's eyes widened and she quickly ran to the window to escape.

The boy panicked and shouted, "NO! WAIT! DON'T JUMP! I'M NOT CALLING THE POLICE!"

The girl stopped and waited for the boy to continue but he didn't say anything so she walked to the door instead.

"Wait! Please don't go!" He stopped the girl again. The girl was looking annoyed but she did as he said.

The little girl walked towards the boy with an angry expression on her face.

The boy looked scared and he quickly apologized while stuttering, "S-sorry...I-I..."

"What do you want me to do?!" The girl angrily asked.

"Can...can you come back again? I haven't talked to anyone besides my mother and piano instructor for years. Only come on Wednesday nights 7-9 pm that's when my mom's not home and I get to do other things-" The boy noticed that the girl was bothered by his fastidiousness.

His face blushed and he said, "I-I'm sorry. I'm mumbling again. Mother said I always tend to do that. I didn't mean to waste your time. You can just forget about it. You can escape through the-"

The girl cut him off and asked, "Your name?"

"Huh?" The boy asked in confusion.

"When people meet for the first time. They usually try to introduce themselves first. You want me to be your friend right? My name's Alexandria Lennon." The girl introduced herself with a smile.

The boy's face lit up in happiness and he nodded his head furiously, "Y-yes, I do! My name's Shaw Sokolov!"

I watched as they shook their tiny hands before everything started to disappear.

I took a deep breath when I was back in the Prince's subconscious. My knees were getting weak that I had to lean in the door for support.

'Why don't I have any memory of that?'

Shaw Sokolov. Who are you really?

As much as I was curious to know everything, I feel like my heart was going to burst.

But I still gathered my courage and moved on to the next door.

Subconscious Memory (Reality) Violet, Door 3

I found myself in the music room once again and found the two kids by the piano.

They were slightly bigger from the last door.

I walked closer so I could listen to their conversation.

Alexandria handed Shaw a paper airplane. Shaw only looked at it curiously and asked, "What's this?"

"It's a gift. I wanted to congratulate you. I saw your concert on TV . You looked and sounded amazing!" Alexandria complimented Shaw with a glint of proudness in her eyes.

"You wanted to be a pilot, right?" Alexandria asked.

Shaw's face turned sullen. He nodded and said quietly, "But I can never become a pilot."

"Well, it can't hurt to fantasize. I know I'll never live a life of luxury but I still think about it from time to time." Alexandria tried to comfort him.

"And who knows? I am in an incredibly huge and expensive mansion right now with a social elite like you!" She said with a bright smile on her face.

I felt a pang of jealousy in my heart as I watch her carefree and innocent smile.

"I don't really want it..." Shaw whispered.

Alexandria didn't seem to hear what he said so she asked, "Huh?"

"This house, the concerts, my name. Because of those things, I can't even live my life the way I want to." He said with so much despair in his gray eyes.

Alexandria got quiet and looked at Shaw with pity.

"You know... way back before you moved in this house. My father and I used to come here. He always said that he'd buy this place for us to live and give me all the magical girl cards that I want." Alexandria started.

Shaw looked at her and listened attentively.

Alexandria continued her story, "But the older I got, the lesser he visited. And then one day, he finally stopped visiting. It was that time that I realized my father had another family and my mom and I were just some trinkets to him, something to entertain him and discarded once bored."

Alexandria paused and took a deep breath, "Even though I knew all of that, I still held on to the dream that my family and I will live here happily. But my mother stopped working due to illness and I knew that what I have was a far-fetched dream. That's why I sneaked into this house to convince myself that this place will never be mine. And you know how the rest goes."

Shaw looked at Alexandria sadly but she only smiled at him and said, "That dream I had was making me sad so I got rid of it. So if your dream is making you depressed you should change it too. You shouldn't give up on the future, Shaw, because that's where hope lies."

Alexandria place her fingers on both ends of Shaw's lips and formed it into a smile.

"So smile. Smile sweetly like you've always done. Sadness doesn't suit you."

Darkness enveloped the room again and everything vanished.

I was back in front of the violet door.

My head was starting to head as fragments of memory from my childhood started flashing in my head.
