As soon as I woke up, I tried looking for the key around the mansion again.

But just like my attempts yesterday, I didn't find anything.

So I headed to the attic to visit White.

-

He smiled as soon as he saw me so I smiled back at him.

'Just a smile on his face and I'm willing to roam this mansion all over again.'

I got even more determined to find the key if I get to see him happy all the time

Because he's worth it.

I sat on the space beside him and just enjoyed his presence.

I don't know why but I feel like White and I have known each other for so long.

I turned my gaze towards him and asked, "I might have asked you this before, but are you sure we don't know each other in real life?"

"I am quite positive that I have never seen your face before. If I had, I would have remembered." He told me.

I just nodded and just feasted my eyes on his etherealness.

'How angelic...'

"After some consideration," White suddenly spoke. I stared into his beautiful ruby eyes and waited for him to continue.

"I decided to stop worrying and just trust and leave it all up to you because you'll do everything to set me free, won't you?" He asked me.

My heart was filled with joy by his words. I nodded and said, "I will do my best to leave up to your trust."

'Forget about getting out of this reverie! I'd stay here for all eternity if that's how long it'll take to set him free.'

White looked at me with the gentlest ruby eyes and the prettiest smile,

"You already did."

-

After spending some time with White, I went back to looking for ways to free him.

I had a feeling that I find something in the library but I never once saw the library when I was looking around the mansion.

I went to the brat's room because it was where I got transported the last time.

The room was empty when I got there but I focused on why I was there.

I faced the door and placed my hand on the door knob,

I hope this works.

I closed my eyes and opened the door and took a step out of the brat's room-

AND I WAS BACK IN THE LIBRARY!

"It worked." I muttered in disbelief.

I looked at the open door behind me and saw the brat's empty room.

'I've got no time to idle like this!'

I focused and went inside the library.

I heard the door closing behind me but I ignored it and looked for clues.

There were too many books in this archive for me to cover everything in this lifetime!

But still, I had a feeling that the answers I need are here.

I started skimming through the books but I didn't see anything about White's chains.

I noticed that the words that have been smudged have changed and some entries have been revealed and the other entries that I was able to read are now the ones that have been smudged.
