They said we were inside my dream,
INSIDE MY MIND!
Or were we?
Everything around me looks too real that it must be true.
But too surreal for it to be true.
Just what is this place?
And why can't I get out?
-
After waking up, Alexandria Lennon found...
I headed straight to the attic after doing my morning routine in this reverie.
Unlike before, White smiled and looked up to me when he saw me enter the attic.
He moved aside for me to sit beside him, "Hello."
"Hi!"I greeted him back with a smile. Both of us got quiet after that.
I was aware that we're both bad at conversing but I was quiet because I was lost in thoughts.
I never saw the library again since that day.
And the brat has been missing for too long. Did he quit his job?
I'm still bothered with who and what White really is.
And there's still the Duke and Joker to worry about.
Everything's connected to the Prince but I still don't have an ounce of idea about him.
"I hadn't had a friend in a while too. What do friends usually do together?" I was brought back to my senses when White broke the silence between us.
I thought of an answer to his question but I had no idea what friends do together.
"You don't know either, do you?" White asked me and I nodded.
"I guess they talk. I really don't know. I'm not exactly the expert at conversing and socializing." I said honestly.
"Hmm..." White's brows slightly frowned then he added, "We have talked since we have met, does that mean we are friends from the beginning?"
I smiled a bit at what he said.
'You didn't exactly talk to me though. You ignored me most of the time the first time we met.'
"I like sunflower seeds." White told me to start a conversation then he added, "It's my favorite food but I haven't found any in this place."
'Sunflower seeds huh?'
I nodded at what he said.
It's nice to know more about him. I thought of a proper reply to that so I said, "I like white chocolates. Joker gave me a stash but I haven't had time to eat it. Do you want some the next time I visit?" I offered.
"White chocolates? I do remember Joker having white chocolates with him but I don't favor sweets so I don't want any." White told me.
I just nodded then remarked, "Good thing that we can't feel hunger here."
"I haven't given that aspect much thought but it is true that we don't need food to survive in this mansion. Here, the only aspect of food is enjoyment." He told me.
"Right." I said absent-mindedly.
'This is still just a dream after all.'
But still, how could a dream feel so real?
"Here. Take this." White suddenly handed me a white blade that he's been keeping under his wing.
I was surprised when he pulled out the weapon then handed it to me, "Why?" I asked him out of surprise.
"...you don't like it?" He asked sadly.
I quickly shook my head and accepted the blade and said, "No. I like it, thank you. I was just wondering what it is for."
He smiled when I accepted his present and then said, "I don't have anything else to give you and you should be able to use that to protect yourself."
I smiled at him and kept the blade inside my pocket.
White and I talked some more before I decided to go.
-
I decided to check on the brat's room on my way back.
I entered his room and hoped I'd find him having tea or eating sweets but all I found was an empty room.
He's still not here.
I pointlessly waited for him in his room. I decided to do some snooping while I was there but I didn't find anything.
I decided to go back to my room so I walked towards the door but as soon as I took a step out of his room-
THE DOOR TRANSPORTED ME TO THE LIBRARY!
It was the same as the last time I saw it.
The interior was dark and peculiar. The room was full of bookshelves that twisted and bent strangely and soared upwards endlessly.
I quickly went to the study table where the study table is. The ink that I spilled on the floor was already dry.
But there was an envelope that wasn't there before. My name was on the back of it so I quickly opened it and read what was inside.
The gold paper was blank but after a few seconds, its content slowly appeared written in golden ink!
