''Ready to go?"
Nodding my head at him, I snatch the jacket from the coach near me. Ha-Joon unlocks the front door and moves to the side to give me space to walk out. As we make a few steps, he has moved in front of me already leading the way down the hill through the deep green forest. I turn back to see Yeri waving at me. I give a small unsure smile in return even though she probably can't see it.
We walk at normal speed, he holding a big bag on his back filled with stuff we will need for later. Water, a few sandwiches - a fish one for him and a fried egg for me. My eyes dart around as soon as we start getting inside the forest. The leaves of the trees are many and green. The sun that shone over us now is gone like it never was there. I become a little bit scared after walking for minutes deeper into the forest.
The further we go inside, the harder it will be for someone to hear my screams.
But whilst thinking of the horrible way I could be killed, my opinion changed when I see a place differently surrounded by trees. I immediately mumble under my nose. ''A small pond?" Unfortunately, it comes out more like a question than to just announce what I see. Also, it seems I completely forgot about you standing next to me when I said the three words because you right away correct me,
''River to be exact.'', and smile at me.
I draw away my gaze from you toward the river. It is shallow enough for a person to wade across. The water is wild and hopp over the few timeworn rocks. I see you moving from the corner of my eyes, I follow through without questions. I fully forgot about my thoughts, probably because of the new atmosphere around us. As we near it I see you leaving the bag on one big rock. I turn around, the trees stand silently in the background, their green leaves moving slightly with the wind. All of a sudden I want to undress myself, go into the cold water even though it barely reaches my knees, has fun like a child with no worries, but you're here...
''Aren't you going to remove your shoes?'' You ask, yours are already gone. I snap out of my thoughts, my hands clasp the back of my shoe, and slowly remove the one, then the other, and then my socks. The stones we stand on are a bit hot, I feel you pulling my hand and intertwining our fingers.
We start moving, walking on them slowly and trying not to slip and fall. Your hand tightens around mine at times. As we pass the river you break our intertwined hands and sit a few steps away. I do not notice the sandwiches at first but as I sit you place mine on my lap. You grab yours, unfold the paper, and start eating. The smell of fish fills my nostrils.
I hate fish. Any kind of.
Other seafood like crabs, fried mussels... are much better.
I start eating as well, liking the taste of fried eggs. The sound of the water hitting the rocks, the sound of the wind going through the leaves is just restful
"Yeri made the food." You mumble, breaking the silence. "She wanted to and I let her." You explain yourself, looking at me. ''It's better than the sandwiches I would try to make though.''
I hear you giggle. I do not know why you are saying this. Maybe you wanted to start a conversation, maybe you are just bored and not knowing what to do you said the first thing that popped up into your mind.
Were you this desperate to talk with me?
Or just with someone?
''So, do you want to go further? There is something else interesting and beautiful in the distance beside you.'' You give a small smile, wanting to make my situation better. I do not know why you thought I was not having fun, it is cool to stay here but if you want to I guess-
''Okay.''
We get up but you say you will go back to get your bag. I nod and wait. After a few moments, you're back and we head forward. By the minute we wander in silence except for the sound of nature, we are again surrounded by trees. You say that we are going to see a bridge. I do now know why a bridge will be interesting to look at but I follow you anyway.
Soon enough, on our left side is the bridge. Large, covered in greenery and looking old, almost like going to collapse. ''Here we are. Let's get on.''
We pass some bushes and we go up the dirty old stairs. Looking down they look like are going to abolish themselves. And as soon as we are on the top, ready to step on it, you turn to me and say. ''Let's see the view from here.'' Your hand claps mine and we walk straight forward.
If you look down you can see the pond, the water of it getting even wilder. The rustling sound is even louder now. It makes me wonder how did you find these places. Have you been here before? As a kid, maybe?
We stay on the bridge for what felt like hours, just eating, drinking, sometimes talking. Then you say we have to go back because it is becoming dark. I can see the place we are in is appalling now as I walk down the stairs. We head to the house, me behind and you in front leading the way.

There is a big black bag on the bed. As soon as we got home Ha-Joon said that there is a surprise waiting in his room. I frowned whilst going there. I was about to take shower but that can wait. It is now in front of me. I quickly open it, still confused. I do not expect what is inside. All my stuff from my dorm in the hospital is in this bag. To my hygiene products to clothes and some photos.
I have to talk with him.
