Chapter 9--- Hot sun

Hazel's POV

Mr and Mrs Cain left the next day because they had to close a deal with some Chinese company.

Mr and Mrs Cain had a joint ring of companies; THE CAIN BUSINESS EMPIRE, a very powerful family industry in all of the state. No wonder Vidal looked so polished and strict.

And rude.

Well she's too serious too. If ever I am to be rich and powerful, I don't want to be so serious. I'd rather be... emancipated, free .

But before they left today, something happened yesterday. Beth told me something.

It was after the brunch we had. The men were discussing business so Bethany and I followed Mrs Vidal and Abel into the movie room where Abel said he'd watch cartoons.

Yes, they have a gigantic movie room in the main house. The place is beautiful. Mrs Vidal and Abel sat far infront whilst Beth and I sat at the far back.

" The woman is too serious " I said lowly to Beth as we settled in the seats behind. Beth noded.
" And she doesn't like me " I added
" Well that makes us two " Bethany whispered back to me.

" She doesn't?" I ask, surprised
" No. She wouldn't even allow me to marry Jaden at first." She paused and added " had it not been her husband Henry, who supported Jaden and I, I'd have never got to marry Jaden "
I gasp

" For real?"
" Uhh huh. She had some rich girl; Abigail whom she'd planned to marry off to Jaden, to build a family tie with the girl's family for business. But I guess I destroyed that plan so she doesn't like me much.

She is polite towards me because I had Abel and then she loves her grandchild. Plus she loves Jaden too so she's trying to be cool with me"
I'm flabbergasted at this.

" Damn" I say and Beth chuckled. It resonated through the silent room and Vidal looked back at us disapprovingly.
" Shussh" she hushed. We noded.
" I'll marry Elsa!" Abel's little voice ringed.

He's watching the cartoon, Frozen and he says he'll marry Elsa?
Mrs Vidal laughed and said " Sure my dear, you'll marry a princess "
I smile at that. Beth looked... displeased at Vidal's reply

" You look displeased " I point out lowly
" well I'm not really happy with how close she is with my son. Don't get me wrong but whenever she visites, I don't ever get to be with my son. It's like I cease to exist. Hmm. I know I shouldn't be feeling that but I can't help it "

" I get it but I think you shouldn't worry much. He's YOUR son after all and Abel is adorable, it's no surprise she loves him that much. Plus she's his grandmum. Chill "

" You're right. I'm probably over reacting "
We stay silent for a while then Beth suddenly asked " You and Hagel, what's up?"

Wait what?

" Huh?" I try acting like I don't understand
" You know what I'm saying. You look at him with this strange kinda eye "

" What kinda eye?" I whisper back, my heart jumping wildly. Beth noticed how I look at Hagel? I'm that obvious?

" Hazel, I know you. I'm not shocked... you probably want to fuck him "

And did my sweet sister just say the F word??
" I don't!" I deny vehemently.

But I'm blushing deep.

" You sure?"
" of course!" I hush. I'm not going to tell my Sister who is married to my supposedly boyfriend, that I want to desperately fuck her husband's brother!
