What happens when two hearts crossed paths with one another? Will they discover the missing pieces of their hearts in one another? Did they just meet to heal one another? or they just met just to write another heart breaking and terrible story.
I was in the middle of doing nothing when I heard loud noises from the outside, my parents are shouting... they are fighting again."Mara, hindi nga pwede! illegal 'yon, gusto mo bang makulong tayo?" my dad shouted the moment they entered the house.
"Carlo, kailangan natin ng pera!" my mom also shouted. They're not aware that their son's already home.
"Aanhin mo ba ang pera, ha? we're earning a lot, Mara.
My mom cried and it's breaking my heart. I was about to go out when I heard my mom talk. "I want to give our boy a good life.
"By doing illegal things? Really, Mara? Hindi ba ayaw mo din sa mga ganyang bagay? may savings naman tayo, and we're earning more than enough." dad said.
"You don't understand." mom helplessly said.
"then make me understand! bakit ba kailangan pa nating gawin ang illegal na bagay na iyon? gusto mo ba ang mga masasamang gawain? you want to do that? gusto mong patayin ang pasyente na kalaban ng dating mayor? kaya mong gawin 'yon?" my world stopped when I heard those words from my father.
They were offered to do illegal things in exchange of millions. They want my parents to kill the politician's opponent para hindi na ito makatakbo sa darating na election, gusto nilang palagyan ng illegal drugs o kung ano mang nakakamatay ang katawan nito para mapalabas na overdose sa drugs ang ikinamatay nito. People can really be this evil just for money.
The said opponent was involved in a car accident and is currently confined in our hospital. I bet this opponent of the freak won the hearts of the many kaya ganon nalang ang takot ng loko.
Lucas can pursue his dream there. Hindi na natin kailangang mag trabaho, that money can help us big time." mom said.
If you want to do that, then do that. I won't stop you. I can raise my boy alone, we don't need your dirty money." dad said before turning his back against mom.
I didn't expect mom to become one of those greedy people.
I tried not to think about what I've heard, but the more I try to avoid, mas lumilinaw pa sa aking isip ang lahat ng aking narinig.
'I know every family has its own problems, and I admire those that stick together.'
I closed my journal at pumasok na ulit sa silid.
Unlike other boys, mahilig akong magsulat ng quotes, poems, at short stories.
Kaya ko tinitingala ang mga magulang ko dahil sa kabutihan nila, but everything started to get blurry after I heard their conversation a while ago.
I need fresh air.
Why is she wearing a hoodie in a very hot weather?
"No, it's fine. I'm good." I said ang gave her a small smile.
This girl's cute.
"Alis na ako, sorry talaga." she said. As she raised her arms to fix her hair, my eyes widened as I saw numbers of fresh small cuts in her left wrist.
Self-inflicted wound hmm...
"Ingat ka." I said. Tumango lang siya at tinalikuran na ako. "by the way, your hair clip is cute." I added. That made her smile.
As I look at her walking away, I couldn't help but to feel sorry for her.
People who engage in self-inflicted injury typically do so in an attempt to cope with distress, anger, and other painful emotions.
"Play fair. Don't hit people. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody."
-Robert Fulghum
I wonder if she already apologized to herself.
I was only a college student when I first saw her... the love of my life. I thought.
