Chapter 14

I didn't need to turn around and to tell that it was Nate but Diana, Tyler and Stella obviously didn't expect anyone so they all jumped hearing his voice. I turned back and motioned Nate to come close and meet them. I looked at my friends when he came close and said, "Guys this is my brother Nathan. And Nate this is Diana, Tyler and Stella; my friends." pointing at them.

Nate shook their hands and said, "Hey. Nice to meet you guys. Call me Nate. I have heard a lot about you all from Thea."

My friends smiled and Tyler said, "Good things I hope."

Nathan laughed and nodded, "Yeah good things only bro. Sorry guys, but I gotta go. I have to meet up with some friends. But I heard that you guys are staying over so have fun and I'll see you all later. Bye Thea. Bye guys."

Before going, Nathan gave me a kiss on the forehead and a wave to my friends. I chuckled and said, "Well that was my brother. He is the youngest of the three."

Tyler nodded and said, "I know. You have two more brothers, Erik and Aaron. Erik, the eldest, is a business man and Aaron in studying law while Nathan is doing a business course."

We all looked at him in shock, wondering how he knew this much. Looking at our reaction, Tyler rolled his eyes and said, "Your whole family history is on the internet and your parents or your brothers are in news almost every other day so it's hard to ignore that. I read an article about all this recently now I'm actually feeling proud that I read that, it came in handy." cracking his knuckles.

I shook my head and said, "So is there anything you guys want to know, about me or my family?"

"How come there are very few photos of you guys? I mean I've seen plenty of your parents, but not yours or yours brothers. Well, except maybe Erik's" Tyler asked.

"The photos you see are mostly clicked on events and we usually don't go to those much, now. We used to go when we were younger and in NYC, but now not so much. Other than those photos, there are few photos which we, I mean my brothers share on the social media and I don't do that. I avoid coming in public as much as I can. Same goes for my brothers. Erik has to make appearances every now and then for business purposes so I guess that explains it" I replied.

"But don't the paparazzi follow you guys where ever you go?" Diana asked.

"They do but we usually get rid of them or go in disguise. If there is an event in which I have to go, I usually wear a hat that covers most of my face and apply a good amount of makeup, along with the good ole wig. That way they won't recognize me if they see in public. But I don't have to do that much; the disguise thing, so it's good." I told them.

"Wow" was the reply from all three of them.

"Okay enough with all this. For now, do you guys want to see around or not?" I said.

"Hell yeah" they yelled.

I showed them around the mansion and to say they were amazed would be an understatement. I took them to first floor where all the entertainment rooms are and Tyler didn't want to leave the games room, we had to physically drag him out and I also promised him that he can come back here afterwards. After the first floor, I took them to the backyard, figuring that the rest of the mansion is of rooms only.

"This is our backyard." I said to them, motioning to the area. Our backyard is huge and I am not kidding. It has a big pool, few loungers around it with three rooms near it; a bathroom, a changing room, and a shower. There is a basketball court too, which my brothers love. They usually play on weekends with each other or sometimes even have few of their friends over, which is almost every weekend. Their friends, who are actually their best friends, are pretty much like brothers to me, my brothers have known them since they were kids. They treat me like their sister and it's always great to have them over. There are many of them so it's better if I tell about them later. Behind our backyard there is forest everywhere, considering our home is on the outer side of the city.

"Hey, do you guys wan..." I was about to say something but was cut off when Ginger came running towards us, barking. She had her tongue out and her tail waggling like crazy, guess she is happy to see us. She came straight towards me and jumped on me. I got misbalanced by sudden weight addition but gained my posture again. She put her front paws on my stomach and stood on only two. I petted her head and she went down on four. She then turned all the way around to see our company and started growling.

"Shh... Ginger quit growling, they are friends baby." I said to her, petting her again. Some may find it weird talking to pets as if they are humans but animals do understand what we say, like Ginger did. She lowered herself on ground and finally laid there.

"Aww...She is so adorable." My friends said in unison, cooing over Ginger. All three of them came forward and started petting her. Ginger, obviously enjoying the attention, started rolling on the ground.

"This is Ginger - our pet." I told my friends. But I don't think they listened because they were all busy playing with Ginger.

We played with Ginger for about half an hour then went back inside. Since it was around 2 in the afternoon, we decided to have lunch. We went to the dining room and had lunch. After eating we went to my room.

"Wow. Nice room Thea." Diana said.

"Thanks."

They explored my room, like looking through my collection of books and movies. We decided to watch a movie and told Tyler to select one.

"Umm how about Grudge 3?" Tyler asked, looking thoughtful and slightly amused, probably thinking of our reaction. Diana threw a pillow on him and protested, "Hell no. I am not watching that again. I watched it with my brother and I couldn't sleep that whole night."

They continued to bicker about it for a while until finally Stella stepped in and said, "Why don't we just watch the damn movie and we'll close it if it gets too much. Okay?"

They agreed and played it. I took one of my stuff toys from the window seat. It's a light brown colour, medium sized teddy bear with a bow on its neck. I call it 'Twinkle' because I consider it a girl. Aaron gave her to me when I was around 13 years old and I still love her like I do to all my other stuff toys. Diana, Stella and I sat on the bed against the head board while Tyler lay horizontally at the end. I placed Twinkle on my lap and wrapped my arms around her.

I have watched the movie before also but it still scares the shit out of me. During the movie, I kept on snuggling close to Twinkle and hid my face behind her. Whereas Diana and Stella were holding each other in a dead grip and Tyler was also looking a bit scared, looks like someone is not as brave as they were pretending to be.

You know how there is always a moment in a horror film when there is complete silence and you know that something bad is meant to be happening? Yeah well that's what was happening right now in the movie and just as the horror part came, my phone rang startling me and making Diana and Stella jump with fear.

"Don't answer it." Diana said trembling with fear while Tyler took the remote to pause the movie. While Tyler made some sassy comment on Diana, I looked at the caller ID and froze.

Dad calling.
