Chapter 22
Thea's POV
Growing up I have never paid much attention to how I look. I am pretty content with how I am, but when going under disguise, I can't help but notice the difference. I would say that I'm not short, standing proud at 5ft 5 inch. I have a fair, warm skin tone with long, straight, slightly wavy, dark chocolate color hair, reaching my lower back, which I love. My big greenish-blue eyes compliment my heart-shaped face which has soft features.
But after Julio and his assistant step away and I'm finally allowed to look at the mirror, I'm pleasantly surprised. My hair is tied up neatly under a short blonde hair wig with black dips. This is one of my favorite wigs, although I can never actually get myself to cut my own hair this short. The wig is just slightly brushing my shoulders. The hair is somewhat curled to give it a natural wavy look and my eye make-up is a little on the darker side. The make-up is bordering my comfort zone but it looks good. I look about two shades paler which works well for me and to top it off, I'm wearing light brown color contacts.
After stepping into my dress, I can't help but appreciate how well it fits. It's hugging my curves but not in a clingy way. I look taller since I paired the dress with a strappy two-inch heel. Although I'm not one to wear dresses much, I avoid as much as I can, but there does seems to be something missing from this outfit. Apparently, Julio thought the same because as I stepped out of the closet to show them, he was holding my short black jacket.
"This will give your outfit the finishing touch needed but despite it, Darlin' you look smoking." He said, winking at me. His assistant smiled politely and gave me a thumbs up, before they both left the room. I thanked them for doing such a good work and went to close the door behind them. I went back to my room and stopped to look at the photos on my bedroom wall. I was deep in my thoughts and didn't hear the knocking on the door.
"Baby girl? Are you ready to go?" Nate said, stepping in the room. When he saw me staring at the photos, particularly the one from the last time our whole family was together, he came and stood next to me.
"I miss him too." He said softly, squeezing my shoulder.
I didn't want to talk about it so I just nodded and took a deep breath.
"Let's go, or we'll be late.", I said, grabbing my small black clutch, checking for my phone and essentials in it.
Nate looked like he wanted to say something but shook his head, smiled and said, "Yeah, you look beautiful by the way."
"Thank you Natty. You clean up nicely too."
We headed downstairs where the other two were waiting for us. Both Erik and Aaron turned towards the stairs when they heard us coming.
I have to admit that all three of them look great in their tuxes. We all have the same dark colour hair, except for Nate who has slightly curly hair. Erik and Aaron have blue eyes whereas Nate has greenish ones like mine, a mixture from both our parents. All of them are taller than me which is just great. They have similar sharp features which are a lot like Dad's.
"Aww! You guys look so handsome. I feel like a proud momma." I said, wiping a fake tear.
They all just laughed and told me that I look beautiful, at which I blushed, which in turn made them pull my cheeks. Soon we were all piling up in our limo. Yes! Mom and Dad left the limo for us to ride in.
On the way, all of us took something to drink from the mini fridge in the back.
"Although you look awesome baby girl but I have to admit that I don't like seeing this much make-up on you." Aaron said, while sipping his drink. The other two nodded their heads in agreement.
