Chapter 11

It's been a few weeks since the library visit and I have gotten pretty close to my friends. We met up for more study sessions either at the library or at Diana's place. It's good to have people who are as devoted to their studies as I am. Tyler and I have made progress with our music project and our teacher was impressed with our choice of song.

Today seemed like any other day. I reached the school early like I've done for a couple of days now. I go the bleachers near the football field and watch the practise.

When I mentioned that I like the game to Tyler, he insisted, with his puppy dog eyes, that I come to see him practise despite the fact that I'd have to come early to the school, I thought why not. After that I continued to come here because it was kind of fun. Sometimes I'd watch them play or I'd just take out something to read. Although I am no expert but I still share my opinions to Tyler on his game, for which he is glad.

After the practise got over, Tyler came over to my side and I could see his teammates waving at me, I waved back, smiling. I met with some of them and they all seem really nice.

"Hey Thi! Good morning."

"Morning! You did great today. I particularly liked the fake left move that you did. That's a classic one."

He grinned and thanked me before running back, yelling he'll see me soon after the shower.

Looking at the time, I went to my locker and grabbed some of my stuff for homeroom, which is basically an hour or so for us to do any work we might have or for teacher to have extra class. It started soon after Tyler joined seeing as we were getting a lot more homework. Thankfully, the four of us have the same homeroom.

I settled down at our usual spot in the class. Soon the other three arrived. We chatted for while since none of us had any extra work, well except for Stella who prefers to do some things at the last moment.

The classes began soon after and in no time, it was lunch time. We were seated out back and were having our meal in peace.

There's something about these three that I trust because I know it's not easy for me. But I have a gut feeling that it's about time that they knew the truth, but just telling them isn't going to make them believe it; I have to do something else. So, I said, "Hey guys, its Friday today so do you think that you all can come to my place tomorrow and if you guys are okay with it, have a sleepover maybe? I have to tell you all something and it will be easy to explain at home"

"You sound very serious which is odd so, sure but we will not have a ride, my car broke down yesterday, we had to take a ride with my mom." Stella said.

"That's not a problem, I'll pick you guys. Is that ok?" I asked. Diana and Stella nodded, so I turned to Tyler, "What do you say?"

"Yeah, I live next to Diana's place so you can pick me too."

"Great, its sorted you guys are coming."

During music class, Tyler tried to get me to tell him what I was going to tell them tomorrow. This guy is just as bad as I am with surprises. I refused to tell him and am successful at distracting him from it by asking him to play along with me to the chords of the song. Just because I won't be playing doesn't mean that I can't practise also.

After school ended, I walk back home with songs blasting in my ears to calm my nerves thinking about tomorrow. When I reached home, I took a quick shower and went straight to bed because of the tiredness and woke up after an hour. I decided to complete my homework for the weekend now only so that I'll be free from it. When I finished my work, I saw that I still had some time to spend before one of my brothers come home. I was still worried about the whole confrontation thing tomorrow, thinking about every possible response from them. My brothers are not here otherwise they would have helped me.

To get my mind of the topic, I went to the only place that can help me right now – Music room. Our music room is well equipped. It is divided in two parts – sitting room and our very own mini studio. When enter the music room, the door opens to the sitting room. The room has couches in the centre, with a TV and stereo system on the front wall, there is a karaoke system here too. There is also a mini refrigerator here in the corner. On the right side of the sitting room is where all the instruments are kept, like piano, guitars, drums, flutes etc. There is a big one-step high platform against the wall with microphone on stand along with the guitars on their stand. There are a few cabinets also to keep stuff which we'll need. On the other side of the sitting area is the studio. There is a proper music machine on the left of the room with a couch and few chairs/bean bags in the room too. There is a recording booth on the corner which is soundproof but has transparent walls, so we can see through them.

I went to the stage area and picked up a guitar to play and sing for a while.
