"Don't look at me like that." Newt replies, unable to kind of look at you. "I try to come collect you for dinner and you traumatize me with those...those...sounds."
Your face goes red with embarrassment and you cover your face, screaming into them. Newt laughs quietly at your muffled screaming, wrapping an arm around your shoulder and pulling you into a hug.
You lift your face up to see Gally still kind of out of it, drinking water to get his energy back after eating. You had all eaten, but it seems Newt was the only one to discover your well.
Intimacy.
"Did you have fun?"
"Do you want me to smack you?" You ask with a smirk, proceeding to lift a hand to his shoulder which he snickers, now stepping back away from you. "You don't do it enough, nor hard enough."
"I don't try to."
"Okay." He shrugs. "But did you?"
You feel your face heat up and you clear your throat, covering your face with your hand. "It was really good."
"Yeah?" He remarks. "Don't let me hear it next time."
"It was your fault for sending me after him."
"How is that my fault!?" He laughs, confused. "I told you to make up with him! Not...that!"
You laugh with him, rubbing the back of your neck shyly. "I'm sorry, you really came up at the wrong time."
"Yeah, no shit."
You both laugh quietly to yourselves, sitting down on a log, in front of a fire which is starting to weaken. Newt grumbles under his breath, sitting forward and poking the fire with a stick. As soon as the stick starts burning, he throws it into the fire, pulling a weird face you cackle at.
