"Okay, you two. Off to the pit." You look away from Alby in the bed to see Gally standing in the rim of the door to the med-hut.
You frown, looking over at Thomas. You were dreading this, hoping that there would be some resolution to stop this like last time when you were injured but it seems that's not the case.
"Are we going in separate pits?" Thomas asks hesitantly, keeping his voice relatively quiet as to not disturb Alby who's still in his paralysis thing. Maybe coma.
"Yeah-"
"No, you're not." Newt buts in. "Keep them together, you only separate people if it's going to be a problem."
Gally rolls his eyes and you give Newt a thankful nod. He has his arms folded, keeping himself warm with the pale thin jacket barely on his shoulders. He smirks, nodding back at you.
You despise this with a burning passion. Having to go back in that dirty, cold, shallow pit. Just like you had when you first got here.
Typical, to think that when you first got here. You would never have imagined any of this to go down. Not at all. Nowhere near it.
You're just so tired.
Tired of it all.
Tired of not being able to get along with him.
You wish you could go back to the normal Glade. But ever since Alby got stung, it's never been the same. You're starting to wonder if Gally might even blame you for it.
You don't know if it's better you don't know.
You walk away from the cot Alby's on as well as everyone else, sulking, with Thomas trying to hold his head up high behind you. But it's difficult with the silence and the background noise of the fire, following Gally out of the med-hut.
