You stir awake, feeling an arm wrapped around your waist, and a leg hooked around your own. Your first thought is Gally, until you remember that's not who came to bed with you last night.
You lift your head up to see Teresa. Laying on you slightly. She's fast asleep but definitely has bed hair. Not too messy, not bad looking.
Oh. Well. You're now questioning your sexuality.
Your face goes bright red, burning in a blush. Sleeping beside a girl. That should be an interesting tale.
Teresa felt it was unfair that you were going to sleep on the floor or on a chair and wanted you to sleep beside her. You both agreed to not touch or connect during the night but it seems that happened regardless when you're asleep.
You take a small breath in, lifting her arm up slowly and unhooking her leg from around your own. A small murmur or whimper escapes her lips before she turns around and steals one of the pillows to cuddle instead.
You're not embarrassed, but boy are you flustered.
You clear your throat, stepping out the door of your hut, and shutting it behind you.
There's a different vibe, from this morning. Knowing things are different. They feel off. It's obvious.
The morning sunrise and glimmers of streaming light are different. Usually, it feels welcoming. Relaxing. Peaceful.
Now, delaying the inevitable. Hiding all sorts of mysteries, that the sun brings in light. Hiding the darkness in only the dark spaces it can go.
You notice most Glader's are still asleep in their hammocks. Some who had rustled in their sleep during the night with wonky positions, or some still straight and relaxed. Thomas is one of them, his head resting on the fabric of the hammock, his eyes shut peacefully.
