"So how are you gonna get the bug?" Newt asks, looking between you and Minho. Gally also stands thoughtful in the Council Hall, leaning against the support beam with his arms crossed. "Because you're not going in the Maze at night again."
"I know I'm not. We just need another way to get it." You huff, thinking cautiously. You stand beside Minho as Alby, Newt, and Gally exchange thoughtful glances.
They all don't like this idea. Winston, Frypan, and Chuck also stand in the Council Hall listening in to your plan.
"They're usually gone by morning, so you'd have to be quick. And even then, you probably wouldn't be able to get it." Gally scoffs, waving his arm around. "It's not worth it, because those things attract the Grievers. And I don't think anyone wants either of you lured right into a Griever."
"No shit, Gally." Minho retorts. "The only two people who have ever seen a Griever alive is Winston and Y/n. And Winston isn't a Runner, so Y/n is our best bet."
"What if we put Bug Bait down?"
"Bug Bait?" Newt asks. "What would be bug bait?"
"Those things come over to try and detect a person? Right?" You question. "We wouldn't be luring a Griever, not right away. Not during the day. But we could put a piece of cloth down."
"Or a dummy, doll...whatever you want to call it." Minho says, turning to you as a lightbulb goes off in his head. "Get a pillow, a shirt, pants, whatever we need, and make a fake person."
"I'm sorry man, that sounds so dumb." Fry says, shaking his head. "They'd probably be able to what...detect body heat right?"
"Yeah, probably a motion sensor as well." You sigh disappointedly.
"A motion sensor? Damn."
"Either way, that's not going to work. It's better if you don't touch it." Gally says firmly.
"Why?" You ask him, frowning. "This could be the way out! It's gotta be, it's deep in the Maze. There's no further that it can go from there."
