You nervously stand outside Gally's hut in the Homestead after refusing to sleep in the same bed with Teresa. It's dark out, and he hadn't talked to you since. Since Newt enforced that rule. He had stormed out with Frypan running after him.
You take in a shallow, shaky breath, shutting your eyes. You lift your hand up to knock on the door, before swinging it down. Instead, the door opens and you stumble forward, grunting as you collapse into Gally's chest. He also groans slightly before pushing you back off him.
"What do you want?" He scoffs, crossing his arms. "I'm not happy with you."
"I know." You murmur, looking down at your feet in shame. "I know you haven't been lately."
"So, what do you want?"
You miss Gally. The main reason you had refused to stay in the same bed with Teresa again is because all you could think about is Gally. All you could think about is Gally, ever since he stormed out.
You miss him. And all the happy times with him. You don't want to lose him. And you're sure that you're going down that road.
"If you want somewhere to stay, go to your treehouse." He whisper hisses, pointing to the forest but his eyes focused on you. "That's why I built it."
"No, you built it because you cared." You choke out, lifting your head to look up at him. "A place for me, and a place for you. You built it for me because you cared, but also for yourself."
A room to share since the homestead huts aren't really built for that.
He sighs, looking over to the forest. He's genuinely always looking annoyed with you. And you're certain he just wants to be left alone. But then, when would he want you around?
"Gally, I don't want to lose you." Your voice cracks and he flinches at the sound of the pain in your voice, looking down at his feet. He's conflicted with the emotions you're giving him.
