"Mommy and Daddy, this is Aleana," he widely smiled as he introduced me to his parents.
"Nice to finally meet you, hija," she approached me with wide arms.
I was astonished by what his parents did.
A-Ako lagi ang kinukwento ni Maverick?
I smiled at her, "Hello po, nice to meet you, tita."
"So, your name is Aleana, am I right? The heir of A's Corporation. Sa picture lang kita nakikita sa phone ni Maverick but you're much gorgeous in person, hija," he blurted out.
I looked at Maverick, confusingly and he just winks at me.
"Thank you po, tito," I smiled, speechless.
She sighed, "We know that most of his girls in the past hindi niya pinapakilala sa amin but now, we're caught on shocked. First time na may babaeng pinakilala sa amin si Maverick, and I know that you're special to him, anak."
With that, I felt my heart fluttered on what she said.
"Teka lang, is she your girlfriend already, son?" he looked at Maverick, asking him.
Nag-angat naman ako ng tingin sa kaniya and to my surprise, he's also looking at me. He placed his left hand on my waist, pulling me gently closer to him.
"Daddy, not yet. Kalmahan lang muna natin," he said in a calm, unhurried voice. "But she will be my girlfriend soon and claiming already that I'll marry this woman right beside me."
In the spacious kitchen of their house, nandito kaming lahat ngayon para kumain ng dinner.
While I'm eating silently, Maverick offered me something.
It was pumpkin pie. I sliced it first and then I tasted it.
"How was it, Aleana?" her mother asked.
Nag-angat ako ng tingin sa kanila at nagsalita, "It's so delicious, tita. The layers have equal taste."
Sabi ko nga sa kaniya, hija, build her own business in baking and making stuffs like that, kaso ayaw niya."
She shook her head in disbelief, "Hindi ko naman kailangan 'to for business, eh. It's just my hobby. 'Tsaka wag kang maniwala rito, Aleana, bolero 'to."
It's so corny. I have my own ways, right, Ali?" he grabbed my left hand at the table, caressing it.
