"Good morning, Ms. Collins."
Seryoso akong pumasok ng board room para sa isang welcome meeting sa isang newly hired person of our company. Ayaw ko sanang umattend dahil may lakad pa ako but daddy insisted me to join.
Daddy stood up, "Well, I think we're complete. Good morning everyone, our business is getting bigger now and we need some people to help us work comfortably, efficiently, and easily."
I just played my fingers on the table. Kaya ayaw ko sa mga ganito eh, I'm bored.
"As the CEO of this company, I would like to meet y'all, Engineer Rodriguez." Tinuro niya ang lalaking kapapasok lang sa board room.
Napatingin silang lahat sa kanya at ako lang yata ang hindi. Napabuntong-hininga nalang ako. Kailan ba 'to matatapos?
"Good morning, I'm the newly hired engineer of the company. Pleased to meet of all you." Matipuno niyang sabi.
Napatingin naman ako sa kanya at nakikita kong ang pormal niyang manamit. He's wearing a white polo shirt partnered with a navy blue coat with chino black pants and derby shoes.
Maya-maya, narinig ko ang mga palakpakan at mahihinang bulungan nila.
"He's hot."
"Bet ko 'yan."
"Mine po."
Pagkaharap ko, saktong nagtagpo ang aming mga mata. I just rolled my eyes and hoping na matapos na sana 'tong meeting.
"Engineer Rodriguez will stay here for the meantime because of the slow progress of his office in the site. Anyway, I think that's it for today. Meeting adjourned."
Kinuha ko na 'yung bag ko at tumayo. I fixed myself first before going out. Nang makalabas na ang iba, tumayo na ako at naglakad na palabas ng board room.
Pumunta kaagad ako sa room ni daddy para magpaalam.
"Dad, can I go out muna? Please," I smiled at him.
Kinuha niya yung mga papel na nasa table niya at pinirmahan ang mga 'yun.
"Saan ka na naman ba pupunta, Aleana?" Seryosong tanong niya.
"I'll hang out with my friend's lang, dad. Natapos ko naman 'yung mga gawain dito sa office eh," I pleaded.
"Okay, you can go but make sure you're home at 4 pm," he paused.
Nag-angat siya ng tingin sa akin pero naka-poker faced lang siya.
He crossed his arms, "Kung hindi ka susunod, you'll be forced to go home."
"Okay dad, I'll be going na po." Niyakap ko na siya at naglakad na palabas ng building.
Pagkalabas ko, dumiretso agad ako sa venue kung saan favorite naming magkakaibigang mag hang-out. It's time for me to unwind and chill enough.
"Oh! There she is," Irine pointed me when I walk through the bar.
Sophia sighed, "Mabuti naman na pinayagan kang sumama sa amin. A week ago, you've missed our hang-out."
I rolled my eyes, "Girls, you know I've been busy in our own company. I have no choice but to be part of it. I'm the next CEO if ever hindi na kaya ni daddy gampanan ang position niya. Well, I'm here now. Anyway, let's stay away from stress."
