I started to drift away from you.
Just as close, but farther away.
I started to build myself up from the ruins and finally became more independent.
I didn't need to rely on you anymore.
I found out that my life hadn't really started yet, so why should I dwell on something that wasn't even real to begin with?
Instead of stressing over you, I started to stress about other things.
Like soccer practice, and Calculus, and Stanford.
I didn't need you.
