Chapter 19 - The last of us

This deadly enemy continued to grow more powerful by the second, we all watched in complete disbelief. This couldn't have been happening. Tabuu had been completely annihilated in the Brawl age though, the other Smashers seemed to think the same too. There was no way he could've been resurrected, he disintegrated and basically exploded in the end.

"T-Tabuu!?" I heard most of the Smashers exclaim. Of course, the newcomers had no idea who this thing was.

"But... how!? We defeated you in the brawl age! How are you back!?" Pit exclaimed.

Tabuu's voice was distorted, but had many sounds adding to the traumatic experience we were all witnessing at this moment. His laugh was dark, and his body was contorted when he chuckled.

"Insolent mortals. The reason you are all so surprised to see me again, is because you ALL celebrated your victory too early. Once you performed the final blow on my material form, yes. I was defeated. Alas, you thought you had won.

"And so, you teleported out of subspace to celebrate your win. However, my essence still remained. With the help from your enemies, each part of my soul was stored in each of their bodies. From all dimensions, not just this pathetic dimension."

Now that I thought about it, the final cutscene that shows Tabuu exploding into pieces ends before you see him completely disintegrate. I used to wonder what happened to the rest of him, but then I started to ignore and think "It's a game. Of course he is defeated."

But obviously, I was very wrong. We all remained silent, unsure of what to say. Speechless by the demon's explanation.

"And now, mortals, you shall perish by my command!" he bellowed.

"We will never fall to an enemy with the likes of you! You are CLEARLY outnumbered, and we have allies as powerful as you would ever be!" yelled out Angel. Tabuu continued to laugh, and my confidence was going waaaay down.

"Oh, but you will. But not necessary from MY power, but yours."

"What does he mean? Jocelyn?" I spoke through the telepathic link.

I looked to the Earthlanders' direction, where I saw Jocelyn holding her temples of her head with her fingertips. Very suddenly her eyes snapped open, and she turned as pale as my hair.

"Guys..." Jocelyn's voice rung through my head.

Everything happened to soon. With a nod of his head, all of our allies began to turn into pixels and vanish in thin air. Everyone began to panic, not knowing if they were going to die here or not. It was like not being able to say goodbye to a loved one before they left forever.

There were cries in the air, all of fear. Adam, Samus' friend, was pretty much gone except for his head. Samus couldn't help herself but start crying and telling him not to go. Tetra was just about gone too, and Toon Link was holding her hand, doing the same as Samus, doing the same as everyone else. This was terrifying to watch. My heart thudded as I realised something.

"Roy!" I cried out hoping that he hadn't vanished yet, like the majority of everyone else had.

"Iquissa!" I heard his reply. I ran around trying to find him, and I eventually did. He was standing by Eliwood and Chrom too. Lucina and Robin were just as upset as everyone else was about losing someone close to them, but I was too.

I quickly grabbed Roy's hand before he could pixelate anymore. He was taken by surprise, but then simply smiled, like what was happening meant nothing to him. I wanted to cry.

"Are you gonna be okay?" I asked out of fear. Roy actually let out a small chuckle.

"I know I am. Don't fret, we'll see each other again. I know it." Just like that, everyone vanished entirely.
