Being genuinely honest, I was quite nervous. I guess Robin could see it, because he was obviously waiting for me to say "I'm ready" or something along the lines of that.
"There's nothing to be nervous about. Trust me, everyone here is quite friendly."
I inhaled deeply, and then exhaled rather exasperatedly.
"Okay. Let's go then, shall we?"
If my "calculations" are correct, then I should be meeting everyone else from Super Smash Bros Wii U. I mean, I've already met Marth and Link, now Robin? I think the dots are connecting rather nicely.
Unless... behind this massive door, is actually a sign that says "You've been pranked, idiot." That is definitely a way to ruin the mood. But then again, I don't really know anyone who would take the time to prank me. Sure, the "bullants" might. But to make such an effort to make a good prank on me? That would be pretty low of them in my personal opinion. But you know, no one really cares about that.
"Alright. Here we go..."
Robin started to open the doors with both of his hands, and I had butterflies in my tummy. Actually, elephants seems like a more accurate representation of my feeling. Basically I wasn't feeling too "hyperactive" at this point in time.
The large doors opened and revealed a large room with one long table, stretching from one end of the room to the other easily. It was extravagant. By far the fanciest thing I have ever seen in my whole life. There were glass chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, which twinkled like little sparks of a candle.
And I was right.
Every single smasher, was sitting at the table. At the very end of the table furthest away from me, sat Mario, Pacman, Megaman and Luigi. All the princesses stood out very nicely, and they all looked very posh and royal. I guess that is what one would expect from someone with a title such as "princess" in the first place.
No one had really noticed us yet, but we started walking towards everyone. Once we were about 10 metres away, a couple of smashers noticed us nearing toward them. Quite a few seemed to have an excited glance towards me.
"Everyone! May I have your attention, please!"
"DAMN IT ROBIN! BE QUIET!" I shouted at him in my head, unfortunately.
EVERYONE looked in our direction. I think I turned pink. Like, Kirby pink. Being super anti-social, doesn't get you anywhere in situations that require you to be social. I'd rather dig a hole and pretty much die. Or shrink to an ant and then get squished, then die.
"This is the girl who we found a few days ago. Her name is Ingrid."
A few smashers got out of their chairs and came over to greet Robin and I. Marth and Link were the the first ones. That's no surprise, but I was quite happy to see them coming over. I felt the most comfortable around Robin, Marth and Link. Probably because they're the only smashers I've seen properly. They felt like real friends already.
Next came Peach, Rosalina and Luma, Pit and Palutena, Lucina and Ike, pretty much everyone came over. They all started shaking my hand and overwhelming me with so many questions. I've never had so many people want to talk to me by choice before, I'd almost call it a confronting experience.
I noticed that the only characters who didn't come and greet me were Sonic, Falco, Dark Pit and Wario. I didn't really care anyway. I wasn't expecting people to come up and smother me in the first place.
"Hi Ingrid! I'm Princess Peach! But you can just call me Peach."
"H-Hi. Nice to meet you."
"I was the one that changed your clothes. Your old ones were all dirty and ruined, so I hope you don't mind!"
