"What was that for?"
"You ran into me!"
"Leave me alone, Malfoy."
"Get out of my way, Weasley."
I was in Gryffindor house just like the rest of my family, but I have blonde hair and blue eyes instead of red hair and green eyes. We're pure-bloods, but our wealth, or lack thereof, makes the Malfoy family hate us. Lucius Malfoy has been out to get my father for as long as I can remember. My twin brother, Ron, keeps me going through every year, every term. He's my rock. Every time Malfoy makes me upset, Ron is there.
"Roni, what happened?" Ron runs up to me.
"Malfoy, again. He ran into me. It's nothing." I hike the strap of my bag up on my shoulder after Malfoy had knocked it off.
"I'll walk you to Potions," he says.
"It's fine, Ron." I give him a small smile. And I'm telling the truth. It was fine, because Ron didn't know that I'd been dating Draco for months. No one knows except us. When he ran into me, he pressed a piece of paper into my hand. I finally unfold it as my brother walks in the opposite direction. It's in his beautiful, graceful scrawl. It tells me he loves me. I smile at the sweet note before shoving it deep into my bag so Ron won't find it.
When I get to my class, I sit down next to Hermoine. I have this class with Ron, but he is sneaking off to help Harry with something.
"Hey Roni," she says.
"Hey Hermoine," I say.
"Where's Ron?"
"They didn't tell you?"
"No."
"Oh, he and Harry are skipping class to, I don't know, I forgot."
"Just like Ron." She giggles.
"We are related, Hermione."
"I know."
Just then, the door opens. We get quiet and when I turn around to look at the door, I see Ron and Harry behind Snape. They sit in front of Hermoine and me.
"What happened?" I whisper furiously at the boys.
"We got caught being out of class. Told Snape we got lost. He didn't believe it, so we have detention tonight with Filch," Harry responds.
"How long?" Hermione asks.
"Two hours," Ron groans.
Perfect. Two free hours that I can spend with Draco without getting caught by Ron or Harry. I still jave to worry about Hermione, but it'll be okay because I still have Harry's invisibility cloak. I sit through the rest of Potions listening to Snape drone on. After class, I send Draco a note about our good luck.
...
I quietly open and shut the door. A door opening without a person entering or exiting. Draco's already here. I pull the cloak off my body and fold it up before crossing the room to Draco, who's leaning against the wall. He pushes off and kisses me, wrapping his arms around my waist. I kiss him back, my arms around his neck.
"I got your note," I say, resting my head on his shoulder. "I love you too." I murmur it against his neck, breathing in his scent.
"I think Ron almost caught that one," he says. I laugh.
"Ron is so oblivious. I'm almost 100% certain he doesn't know."
"Almost?"
"There's always a little bit of doubt that we've been spotted and someone told Ron."
"I would never let that happen."
"I know."
"I love you, Roni." He kisses my hair.
"I love you, too," I say, reaching up to kiss his cheek.
