An hour later, Xena and Gabrielle sit on the couch eating pizza. "I wonder how the boat ride went?" Gabrielle asks as she finishes her pizza and sets a plate on the coffee table.

"Well, the advancements in boats are far better than they were back in ancient times," Xena says as she grabs another slice. She then gets a playful smirk on her face and remarks, "I'm wondering if Janice inherited your motion sickness."

Gabrielle giggles a bit and says, "It got better! Remember!" Gabrielle grabs the journal and starts to read. "Our trip to Argentina was mostly smooth sailing; We had to take a detour halfway though due to Nazi U-boats on our trail. Then a week into the journey, we hit choppy waters."

The scene now cuts to Janice throwing up in a toilet. Mel walks into their room with a serving tray that has a coffee cup, some crackers, and a pill bottle. "Janice! I brought you some things that will help your stomach." Mel says as Janice walks out of the bathroom and lays on her bed, looking out of sorts. Mel sits the tray down and hands the cup to Janice. "This is herbal tea. The cook said it would settle your stomach. He also said crackers would help too, also one of the sailors had a bottle of pills on him. They relieve motion sickness. Take it."

Janice gives Mel a sad look and says, "I don't normally react like this on a boat. Must be motion sickness of some kind."

"Well, another thing that might help ya is by doing this," Mel says as she takes her index and middle finger and taps her wrist. Janice gives her a strange look, and Mel says, "When my uncle Roy, who's my daddy's brother, and his family used to ride the train from Arizona to South Carolina, my cousin RJ used to get motion sickness a lot. That seemed to help him. Drink the tea, eat some crackers and try that. "

Janice sips the tea, eats some crackers then starts tapping her wrists with her fingers. "How long do I have to do this?" Janice asks reluctantly.

"Give it fifteen minutes and see what happens," Mel says, smiling at Janice. "It always worked for my cousin RJ; it should work for you too." Thirty minutes later, Mel walks back into their room to see Janice sitting on a chair, sipping tea. "How ya feeling, Janice."

"Better," Janice says, smiling at Mel. "That thing you showed me really worked.Thanks."

"Just remember what I showed ya, in case you're ever at sea again," Mel says. "I talked to the captain, and we should be arriving in Argentina by the end of the week."

"I should've listened to you and asked someone before we got on this boat," Janice says. "Don't know how long it'll take us to get to Mexico, or even the states, you know, now that the US has entered the war. It may take us months or even a year to get to Mexico."

"We'll manage," Mel says, smirking at Janice. "Now there, don't be so hard on yourself; it was a mistake. Just finish that tea. Maybe later I can get the cook to whip us up something."

They smile at each other, and Janice says, "Thanks for helping me through this."

"That's what friends are for!" Janice says in her Southern accent.

A week later, the ship they were on lands in a port in Argentina. Mel and Janice walk off the boat with their backpacks, and Mel says to Janice, "It was nice that the captain let us stay on the ship for free."

"Well, your Southern charm or whatever boosted the sailor's morale, I guess," Janice says, annoyed. "We need to find someone who speaks English and help us get to Mexico."

They start to walk around, taking in the South American country. People walk the streets, stopping at various vendors, buying food, clothes, and other things from their native land. They walk along the port side in awe of what they are seeing.
