So my name is Ivy, I'm seventeen, and my life sucks. Go figure, right? Anyway, I was the betas daughter, I am about 5'7" and have long reddish blonde hair that goes to my lower back, and yes, it's my natural color. It's a mix between both my parents' hair colors. Im not heavy set or  Barbie doll skinny either, but I would say I'm a happy medium and curves in all the right places.

So my birthday is in a few weeks, and I'm turning eighteen, and that's when you get to shift into your wolf and find your mate or at least start to. Woo-hoo, right? Wrong, I shifted into my wolf when I was twelve! So I'll only get to find my mate when I turn eighteen. No one knows that I shifted when I was twelve because everything all happened so fast that day.

*flashback*

"Ivy!" Her dad yelled.

"I'm over here, Daddyyy!" I smiled and yelled as loud as I could from across the meadow.

"Babygirl, what have I told you about running off like that?" My father said sternly, "It's dangerous out here. You have to stay with me. Ok?" He sighed as he picked her up.

"Daddy, momma told me as long as I'm with you im safe. Momma told me you would always protect me." I say in a sweet voice.

"Yes, babygi.." He started to say but stopped quickly.

*SNAP* Their heads snapped to where the sound had come from. The bushes started to move, and three dark brown wolves came out of the forest. Their eyes were bright yellow, and they had this almost crazed look in their eyes, the look that screamed. I want your blood. At that same moment, my dad whispered the word "rogues." I think my heart stopped right then and dread filled my body.

My dad turns his head to me and whispers, "I love you, I need you to run when I tell you to and not look back. Do you understand? " I could hear the fear in his voice, which only scared me more.

Starting to have tears in my eyes, I nodded my head yes and whispered, "I love you too, Daddy." Not knowing it would be the last thing I ever said to him.

After saying that, he set me on the ground and yelled, "RUN!!" And that's what I did. Except, when I got to the edge of the clearing where the trees started again, I stopped, and turned around. It was a mistake. What I saw was a lot of blood. Two of the rogue wolves were on the ground dead, and the third one was snapping my father's neck and throwing his body to the ground. It felt like I had stopped breathing, and my whole world came crashing down.

When I saw what happened, something inside me snapped and started to change. All of my emotions amplified by ten and a burning sensation in my body along with my bones popping, I shifted into my crimson red wolf. I was already the size of a regular wolf, and I was only twelve. I was going to get much bigger as I got older. She howled in pain because of our father's death, which would alert the pack that rogues were on our territory. At that moment, our glowing crimson red eyes locked with the yellow eyes that killed our father. We didn't hesitate and charged. She went in for the kill and snapped his neck in less than thirty seconds. The rogue's body lay dead at our feet because we only saw red.

I asked my wolf how to turn back, and she said in a sad, quiet tone "imagine yourself in your human body, and by the way, my name is Crimson. This is not how I wanted our first time meeting each other to go."

At that moment, I couldn't even process what had happened around me, but I was able to shift back with all my clothes on. I slowly walked back to my father's body. I held his head in my lap and cried. I almost cried myself to sleep clinging to him when I felt arms slowly wrap around me and a soft deep voice whisper, "don't worry little one, I've got you." In the background right before I passed out in my alphas arms I could hear the howls of my pack mourning my father's tragic death.
