Jules lied there, staring at the painted ceiling. She was unable the sleep. The scream kept replaying in her ears. Instead of continuing to stare off into space, she decided to get up and explore her extravagant dorm in more detail. She got up and lit a few candles, the school happened to not have electricity. She looked around. It was beautiful. It made her feel as if she was a princess. The ceilings were painted with paintings of angels in the clouds, with exposed wooden rafters running across the paintings every few feet. The dorm has an empty bookshelf that runs up the wall to the painted ceiling. Jules planned to fill it with her favorite books. There is a desk made of dark wood with designs etched in the sides with gold paint inside the etchings. The chair to this desk matched with the golden etchings, and so did the incredibly comfortable bed. The large window had a cushioned seat built into the window sill. The dark, cherry wooden floors supported all of the things in this astonishing room.

Jules grabbed a pillow and sat at the window seat, hugging the pillow like it's the last thing she'll ever hug. She continued to think of the scream as she gazed out the window and down to the moat. She saw a crocodile nip at a rabbit hoping by.

She sat in those horrid thoughts until the sun started to peak through the trees in the distance. Only then, she got up from the seat and dressed herself in her new uniform. She tied her long curls onto the top of her head with a simple black hair tie.

She left her dorm and began to try to find her first period classroom. The only sounds that Jules could hear were her black dress shoes clicking against the tile, and the birds awakening for their own days.

She looked at her schedule. Room 32B. She walked along the hallways until she found it and proceeded to wait outside, as it seemed that she was the only sign of life in the hallways.

After May, Liam, and Jules's first days, it showed that they all had studying to do. Jules decided to go alone in her dorm to study, and May and Liam went to the library together.

May looked at all of their options with a glimmer in her eyes.

"Do you want to start with Algebra?", she asked with contained excitement.

Liam suppressed a smile at her excitement for Algebra of all things.

"Sure, that sounds good.", Liam replied.

"This book looks old,", May said as she tried to pull the book off of a shelf.

"Really old. It isn't budging I wond-", her words were cut off by the turning of the bookshelf.

The bookshelf turned around slowly for a minute, but once it was turned, it revealed a long, dark tunnel. It looked like the tunnel never ended.

"Doesn't this only happen in poorly written books?", May asked with slight fear wedged into her usually calm tone.

Liam shrugged as his reply. "Should we go in?", he wondered out loud.

May took a deep breath and stepped in first. The tunnel had about an inch of water resting on the floor of it, making it resemble a sewer. Although, it smelled closer to a fish-like smell than human waste. Liam stepped in after.

May opened her mouth to speak before she got dragged away by her ankles by a disgusting no-eyed creature.

This creature had the body of a human with scales running around the skin, the tail of a lizard, and the face of a demon. It was a mortifying sight. Liam had to take a moment to register what was happening. It was happening too fast. His best friend being dragged by her ankles by this horrendous beast deep into the depths of this long, dark tunnel. He ran after her agonizing screams.

By the time he reached her, he thought it was too late. There were atleast 45 lizard-people. But it appeared that May only had severe wounds on her arms and legs. Good. That meant she could survive. Liam grabbed her arms and started to drag her out before he noticed the lizard-people chasing after them. Liam had to be smart. He knew that they would attack moving objects. He thought while running from the creatures about how he would achieve this distraction. Out of impulse, he threw his school bag. So the lizards chased after it, giving him and May time to escape before the lizards noticed that it was only a dinky school bag.

Liam slammed the bookcase behind them and dragged May to her dorm, turning the hallways into a Place of Blood. May certainly wasn't a big person, but she felt heavy to Liam after all of the running and panic. Liam slinged the unconscious May onto her bed, bandaged up her severe wounds with some spare washcloths from May's bathroom, and left to go to his dorm. The only thing was, he didn't get to his dorm. He was stopped by the cloaked figure of Headmaster.

"Come to my office with me.", he said bluntly.

Liam complied, he was scared of of his mind, but he still complied.

Headmaster closed and locked to door behind him. There was a large bucket of what smelled like lemon juice in the middle of the floor.

Odd, Liam thought.

Headmaster walked over to Liam with a sheet of paper. Oh, just some lines, is what Liam's second thought in the office was. Except it wasn't lines. Headmaster started giving Liam papercuts from head to toe. Liam was in pain, of course. But it was nothing compared to what he was about to experience.

Headmaster looked at the bucket.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Get in."
