May stared at him, dumbfounded, as if Liam had just grown three heads and ninety-two eyes.
"Liam, no. We aren't going to do that again, and you're crazy if you think we are," May told him sternly.
Liam sighed. "I just want to check if the tunnel is still there, I promise we will not go in. Didn't you hear Professor Illion speaking of a possible tunnel being in the school? And how it was hidden in 1834? It'll be crazy if it's still there, May. Because," he paused. "Why would they need to rebuild that tunnel with the school if they haven't needed it since 1834?"
May pondered on this question for a few moments until the deafening silence rung in her ears.
"You could be onto something. And what were those lizards? Why were they in the school?"
Liam have her a sarcastic "why didn't I think of that?" look. "See? Even you have questions of your own. So let's go answer them!"
May started to take a deep breath before it was interrupted by a squeal and an embrace from behind. Before she had whipped around to see Jules, she had jumped from just how startled she was.
"Jules!", May exclaimed as she returned the warm embrace.
Jules inhaled heavily. "I see you guys are talking again! That's exactly what I was waiting for. I didn't want to pick sides when you guys had that fight. I thought it would completely ruin the entire friendship. But now we have it all back together, correct?", she gasped for air after squeezing this all into one breath.
May allowed herself a small giggle. "You're correct. And it's actually more than okay", May took Liams hand in her own and showed her.
Jules smiled at first but then remembered what was said about her.
Another cute little girl thinking she has a chance?, repeated in her head with an echo along with that's my guess in the handsome, deep, and slightly raspy voice.
"Jules? Are you okay?", Liam asked her.
"Yep!"
Liam nodded and proceeded to explain their plan to Jules.
"I want to check if the tunnel that leads to them is still there after the bombings."
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's see."

The trio rushed through the halls to get to the library before closing time came along. May poked her head in to check dor the librarian. They were in luck, she wasn't present.
May let the other two know that the coast was clear and they prestigiously snuck to the back, where the Algebra books were located.
Liam pulled on the original book that opened the tunnel, and nothing came, even after several more pulls.
"Well, there's nothing, Liam. It isn't there anymore," May told him, clearly in a rush to flee the area.
"Wait, I'm going to try the rest," he told her.
Liam pulled, pulled, and pushed, every single book that the book shelf had to offer. Just as he had began to lose hope, he reached the last book. He pulled it.
Nothing happened.
And then he pushed it.
The bookshelf began to turn to reveal the dark tunnel.
"Can we please leave now? The librarian could be back any second now. Plus, we got what you wanted; to see if the tunnel was still there," May asked with fear of the creatures beaming through eyes.
Liam glanced at the door frame filled with darkness and sighed. He was hoping for this to result in a Place of Discovery. But, May was right. "Of course," he shoved the bookcase closed and walked away with the two girls. Jules rambled on about how crazy it was. Liam or May couldn't blame her, it was almost completely new to her.
"It's just-"
"-crazy.", Liam and May finished for her, as she had repeated that exact statement several times throughout her vent.
Jules slightly smiled. "Thanks."
May found herself feeling uneasy talking about the tunnel. She felt relieved when she noticed they were walking outside of her dorm.
"I just remembered that I have to study for the term finals," May lied to them.
"Term finals aren't for another 2 months!", Jules told her.
"I like an early start!", May argued as she went into the extravagant room and shut the door behind her.
Jules looked at the recently closed door for a few moments before speaking up.
"I'm going to go to sleep. Goodnight, Liam," she told him as she swiftly walked to her own dorm.
Liam was left alone in the dark halls of The Academy. He found himself walking towards the windows that bordered the hallways. He peered at the starry sky that had night softly blanketed over it, just as it had when he arrived at The Academy for the first time. It was a perfect night.
Liam sat on the windowsill as he gazed out of the crystal-clear window. No thoughts were on his mind at the moment.
At least, there weren't until he heard low groans, dripping water, and the scream of a man.
