Liam felt a wave of shivers race down his spine to get to his tailbone. He immediately whipped his head and body in all directions to see if the scream and groans had happened right under his nose.

Only the empty, freshly rebuilt hallways greeted him.

Liam began to pace down the hallway to his dorm, hoping to not run into what the poor man had to.

Liam found a door that seemed to be his dorm, if it wasn't, it was close enough. He opened the door and slammed it behind him.

"Wind down there, that door never did anything to you!"

Liam turned to see a girl that he knew as Jules's roomate, Ellinore Eire. So he must've been in Jules's room. He heard water gently splattering the bathroom tile and put together that Jules was most likely in the shower.

"Sorry," Liam told her.

"That door could've had a wife and kids, Liam,".Ellinore joked while her lightly freckled cheeks filled up with a friendly smile.

Liam allowed himself to let out a gentle chuckle. "I meant to go to my room, my apologies."

"No problem. I hope you know where it is truly at by now," she told him. Liam could see a light shade of magenta burning through her cheeks.

"Of course."

He scrambled out of there before he let the question about the groans and agonizing scream slip through his dark pink lips.

He undressed himself as he reached his dorms bathroom. He cranked the water faucet to be as hot as it could possibly be, watching as the steaming water patiently filled the small tub.

Liam eventually dipped his body into the tub, allowing the steaming water to sear his tan skin. This wasn't painful to Liam, it was a treat. He had always loved the feeling of letting all of his worries evaporate into thin air along with the damp steam, letting his blood warm from the almost-boiling water.

It was the only time he couldn't worry. Bathtime. The time of day that his mother used to alway have to fight him about as a small child. Now, all Liam wanted was to always be able to stay in the hot water for his lifetime. It was heavenly to him. Bathing was his guardian angel at that point.

Then he remembered May. She was his angel above bathtime.

Liam begrudgingly climbed out of the tub as the water started to cool down. He drained it and wrapped himself in his favorite fluffy towel that he had brought from his home. This towel always motivated him to climb out of the comfort, as it was nearly equal to the relief that bathing brought to him.

He found his boxers, t-shirt, plaid-patterned pajama pants, and slipped right into them. The relief that the bath had brought to him was now wearing off. His thoughts scrambled back to the groans and the scream that followed.

Liam couldn't take it anymore. He found a flashlight and a pocket knife that he had received for Christmas a while back, in case he would have to fight anything off.

He strided down the hallway until he reached the closed library. It was locked.

Liam remembered a trick that May showed him with a bobby pin that she gifted him. He drew the thin hair pin that he had stored in his curly hair for safe keeping and began to fiddle with the intricate lock. He finally heard the familiar click and pushed the abnormally large door open to reveal rows of books stacked neatly amongst shelves.

He quickly darted for the familiar shelf and pulled the last book on the bottom row. He heard the wooden shelf begin to turn.

Behind it laid the typical tunnel that had seemed too familiar to Liam to have only been met with it twice.

Liam remembered why it seemed so familiar to him.

He had dreamt of it several times over the past couple of nights.

His head impulsively shook left to right to shake off the thought as he turned into the tunnel, turning he yellow-ish flashlight on as a light source.

As he reached the spot where May was taken, he could still see her dried blood splattering the walls and floor. He felt chills crowd into his body. The tunnel was a Place of Chills.

He quickly passed the spot where he was stopped the previous time by May's agonizing screams. They replayed in his head as he walked further into the darkness, only to be greeted by more and more of it.

Just as Liam was planning to walk back, he heard a hissing noise. He drew his pocket knife as a defense mechanism.

Nothing came after standing idle for a long moment.

Liam proceeded deeper into the tunnel, and was finally greeted with something; a room. It had a lab table in the middle with syringes and strongly-smelling chemicals resting on it. But this wasnt what drew Liams eye.

What drew his eye was the pack of the familiar lizards lined up in cages against the wall. One in particular was squirming around while the others where resting. The squirmy one had a head of hair and no tail, while the rest had tails and no hair.

What really gave Liam the chills was when the lizard looked up at him with blue human eyes— Nathan's eyes.

Liam couldn't react before his body did. He found himself running, sprinting, to reach the exit. He finally found it after running a marathon, slammed the wooden bookcase behind him, and quickly strided torwards his dorm.

What filled his dreams that night was the scream of Nathan as he plummeted to his supposed death.
