Chapter 4
Lexa POV
The lesson starts and I can still see Clarke looking annoyed at me, she also looked hurt which made me feel even worse.
Ignore her Lexa, I say to myself. That's when a balled up note hits me on the head from near the front of my room.
'Mine tonight? ;)' the note simply says. I smirk at Costia, one of my usual hook ups at the school.
There's no way that I am turning that down right now. A distraction, another girl, something to clear my head from this weird feeling that Clarke causes me to experience.
Before I can write a reply back Mr Bird comes over and screws up the note before putting it in the bin. Luckily he doesn't bother to read it. He wasn't the only one watching me though. I turn and see Octavia whisper something to Clarke looking in my direction and I could feel Clarke's eyes burning holes into the head.
I feel a surge of anger inside me, feeling hurt that Clarke was clearly judging me and she didn't even know me.
Clarke's POV
I notice Lexa trying to discreetly look at me. What was her problem? I can't exactly just join another class because she doesn't want to be around me.
I notice a smaller girl at the front of the room turn around and launch a piece of paper towards Lexa. I wonder if she is one of Lexa's girls. A strange feeling hits me when I see Lexa smirk as she undoes the note and reads it. What the fuck was that feeling? I ask myself, feeling confused as hell.
Before Lexa is able to reply the teacher comes over and conficates it. I glare at Lexa knowing that she really does have no morals. She will sleep with whoever is available, no matter how that person might be feeling about them.
" Do you have a spare pen, mines run out?" Octavia asks me while still searching through her bag.
" That's Costia if you are wondering" She whispers to me. "Her and Lexa had a thing a few months ago. Then Costia told her she was getting feelings for Lexa and Lexa fucked her off. Obviously she still hooks up with Lexa though, when Lexa can be bothered to give her the time of day."
I glare at Lexa wondering how she can treat girls that way. That's when Lexa stands up and faces the both of us.
"Do you have something to say!" She angrily shouts at Octavia.
I see Octavia tense up in her chair, I quickly realise that this might not end well.
"Miss Wood's, sit down now!" The teacher bellows from the first of the classroom.
I see Lexa contemplating her next move, surprisingly she retreats back to her seat and the teacher carries on with the lesson.
The rest of the lesson goes shockingly smoothly. When the bell goes Lexa jumps out of her chair and walks down the corridor.
"Are you okay?" I ask Octavia.
"Yeah I'm fine. That bitch doesn't scare me. Don't let her bother you Clarke, just ignore her and she will leave you alone. Come on, we've got another class to get to."
...............................................................................................
The next two of my lessons went well, given how disastrous my morning was I took that as a win. I had sat with Raven and Octavia with Octavia and Raven at break, but at lunch I felt like I needed some time to myself. To ponder over the morning's events.
I make my way to the bleachers, sketch book in hand. The sun was shining down and I felt at peace. I couldn't help but keep picturing Lexa in my mind. Was she really as bad as Octavia and Raven were making out? Then again the stories their friends had shared with me at dinner all but solidified her reputation.
I pull myself from my thoughts when I look down at my sketch book. Somehow lost deep in my thoughts I had begun to draw. I looked stunned at what my subconscious had created. I'd drawn a pair of eyes, stunning deep green eyes, that popped from out of my page. I didn't even need to study them to know who's eyes I had drawn.
I go to rip the page from out of my sketch book when I hear a loud whistle blow. I look up and see girls in football kits making their way onto the sports field. Leading them was no one other than of course Lexa.
