Upon awakening, Becca wanted to imagine it'd all been a dream. Maybe when she opened the eyes she would be in her house, then instinctively tracked the pillow and her surroundings searching her cell phone.
After more time than she would liked to admit, the girl gave up. She'd no phone with her and when forced herself to open the eyes, she jumped in disappointment at not finding anything familiar.
She was still stuck in the 60s, not only that, incredible as it sounded, she was in George Harrison's living room. Great.
The night before she flatly refused to let him sleep on the couch, he'd already done a lot by letting her, a total stranger, be at his home. Reluctantly he gave up when saw Rebecca's determination.
That feeling made her smile like a fool. It really happened? George Harrison was sweet and kind as she would thought. And she didn't think it could really happen to something like that to her. He even lent her new pyjamas so she could rest better and fresh. She'd to bite her lip to keep from smiling like fool once more.
"He's just being nice to you. Forget it, Rebecca" She reminded herself.
Suddenly another idea made her jump out of the couch with a start. What time it was? Damn, how she wished for a phone with her. How people survive without cell phones?
Rebecca looked in the room for a clock and when she found it, and boy, did it take time to read it correctly, the reason: she never learned how to do it, the she deduced it was 11 in the morning.
Damn, more late than she would've liked to. Her temporary jetlag had affected her more and still felt tired, but she had to... she'd to find out how she was going back to home and how she's going to survive there.
The place felt very quiet. George was still there? Rebecca rose to sit properly on the couch, setting aside the blanket her host provided.
As Becca rubbed her face heavily and yawned deep. She really didn't feel like facing the problems, there her eyes caught something. In front of her was a folded paper note with her name written in a twisted handwriting, quickly as she saw it, she rushed to take it.
"Rebecca:
I didn't want to wake you because you looked very calm sleeping and didn't seem right to me. I don't have to tell you are in your house. Take whatever you need or fancy.
I know you might be mad about this, but I don't care here's some money so you can go shopping for new clothes. I'll not take a NO for an answer.
You can catch up with me at the studio when you finish. And by this point I'll have spoken to Brian about your job. This is the address: 3 Abbey Road. St. John's Wood London NW8 9AY.
After that I'll take you out for lunch. I'll wait for you as patiently as possible, although I don't promise anything.
Till then,
