George's head was spinning when he returned to the recording room. In those moments the last thing he wanted was to record something, but maybe it was the only thing that could distract him.
"Oi, the fuck ye' been?" John shouted from the other side of the studio as soon as he saw his lil mate.
"Isn't of ye business," he replied dry. His attitude made Ringo and Paul snort.
"Careful there, you lad" warned the bassist.
George laughed cynically as he placed the guitar on him. He tried to concentrate on tune in the instrument. But as his mind reviewed the mysterious girl's face, he felt the urgency to go back next to her for some strange reason.
"Well, one little bird told me tha' our Hazza was with a new bird," Paul smiled mockingly. Making George flip to him.
"Ye were spying on me?" He looked at them, squinting and frustratedly.
"Aah–eh, don't look at us like tha'!" John scolded him. "We didn't, it was Ringo in the first place. Get mad with 'im."
"Yeah, of course, as we don't know who's the talker 'ere," Ringo complained rolling his blue eyes. That only left Paul as an option. He looked away pretending to pay attention to something else at the fixed gaze of his guitarist.
"Then? Who's the mysterious tottie? G'wed lad" John asked again visibly intrigued. He wasn't going to leave him alone.
"Why are ye into tha'?" George grimaced avoiding the look of his bandmates. Concentrating all his attention in the instrument between his hands. Feeling awkward of being the centre of attention, in general, he hated that. If he maintained a lower profile, everything was okay, not for nothing he was known as the quiet Beatle.
"Well, maybe because ye tend to panic when you are with a bird," Paul's mocking tone irritated him more, but he sorta had a point, it wasn't so common not in the way they did. That shit was up to his bandmates, even when they had girlfriends or wives.
"Oi, bugger off, Macca" said George in a sharp way.
"Lads, could you be so kind to give me at least a decent take with which to work today?" A voice going out the microphone call them, saving the boy from all the stupid questions.

It was quite late when they finished recording. John and Ringo were the first to run out of the studio. Without much to say, they said goodbye visibly tired. Paul expected a bit more with the intention of getting some information from George, which he couldn't get. And disappointed, he finally left the studio, not without warning George with the fact he would find out everything without his help.
