After eating and having tea, both walked shoulder to shoulder back to the studio.
Rebecca laughed at her new friend's outfit. George was wearing a thick, heavy black coat as well as sunglasses. She understood it was to avoid being recognized, but for her that was more suspicious.
Their hands were close and even brushing with the other, but neither of them had the courage to take them properly. It was too soon, they just met yesterday, were complete strangers, but there was an urge to do so, a strange and dark demand.
George was dying to do it, feeling the terrible need of touch her, almost to see if she was made of flesh and blood, but he didn't want to look like a fool and be rejected, so he repressed away the tickling in his hand. Choosing to smoke a cigarette to calm down, which he did without much skill as a result of his nerves.
They talked about everything and nothing. What life was in each country, what it was like to be famous and be a normal person, who they liked more: Elvis or Chuck Berry. If they preferred dogs or cats and so on until they reached Abbey Road Studios once again.
It was 1965 and the famous cover and album hasn't happened, it was odd for Becca to see something so iconic go unnoticed. It was amazing to be a part of the story that had been told. Amazing yet... strange.
When they reached the waiting room where the others were, Paul smirked when he saw them.
"There you are lovebirds" he said teasing and making them turn red as they rolled their eyes. "Our favourite soldier and nurse," he said with a laugh.
"Shtum Paul," George yelled, taking off his coat. "Where's John?" he asked, looking around for his mate.
"Ah won't be long. He's taking a dump" Ringo sneered, making the boys laugh. Rebecca felt somewhat awkward, after all, they were men and until that moment, she didn't realize how much she missed a female presence.
As if the universe was listening her thoughts, a pair of heels clicking against the floor made Paul's face light up even more when he noticed the sound, the smile in his mouth only became wider.
Without further ado, he made his way through the small group to be able to hug and kiss the girl who's just arrived tenderly. She was so pretty it was hard to believe it.
The act made Ringo let out a grunt of displeasure. And George exchanged a glimpse of discomfort with Rebecca, both looked at each other as awkwardly apologizing, was uncomfortable for a strange reason, although they had no idea why.
Rebecca shrugged with a Mona Lisa smile and her cheeks slightly pink.
"Jeez, ladies," a voice yelled from behind the couple, causing them to part. "Get a bloody room!"
Paul placed another small kiss on his girl's lips, before pulling away from her completely and lifting his middle finger at the man behind.
Becca's belly contracted twice. One because in front of her was Jane Asher and seeing her hurt, next to the stunning redhead she looked like a sack of potatoes. And the other because approaching came the intimidating John Lennon.
"Jane, love" John greeted with a smile as he reached the group. The girl greeted him back. And then the hazel haired set his eyes on Rebecca, with a serious face. Analysing her. "Who the bloody fuck are ye?" he said in a beaten tone.
