The darkness of the night surrounded them as they listened to the sea waves crashing against the rocks creating a relaxing sound. George and Rebecca like almost every night since their arrival in Italy were outside in their private terrace enjoying the lovely night the universe gave them.

The wine wasn't missing, though they weren't drunk at all, the heat still present even at night make them sweat and release all the alcohol in this way. The drink was more for refreshing both more than something else.

From the first day and noticing in the village there was a jukebox, they both didn't hesitate to get some vinyl records to complement their sweet getaway with music.

Most were Italian singers: Eduardo Vianello, Dean Martin, Nico Fidenco, Gino Paoli, Caterina Valente. But also, the couple managed to get some Ray Charles, Booker T. & the M. G's, Otis Redding, Beach Boys among others. And so, they took turns putting records on.

"Fancy more, luv?" George offered more wine to Rebecca as he returned from inside the room to put on new vinyl.

The girl smiled nodding and extending her glass to get the refill. Which he gave with pleasure pouring more of rose wine into their glasses. Once he finished, George returned by her side giving her a smacker on the lips. They toasted and took the pinkish liquid; they were doing it so when Rebecca heard the chords of the song which was playing inside, and her eyes widened.

"No way!" she said hurrying to gulp the drink down her throat. "I love that song!"

George glanced at her intrigued.

"What's it?" he said turning his eyes in direction to the jukebox to try to recognize it.

"Il mondo by Jimmy Fontana," Becca explained. "E intorno a me girava il mondo come sempre..." she sang lightly. "Love it... makes me feel so powerful... listen," her tone was pure emotion as she closed her eyes and sang underneath so George could hear the music.

He focused his attention on the song, noticing how Rebecca was passionately humming the lyrics, which by itself was quite a show, and made him smile foolishly.

"Great tune, though" he said nodding.

"It's so intense" she whispered "It transmits too much to me... I don't know... I've always liked it" she confessed with a sheepishly smile.

That was the first night they both listened to it together and they wouldn't stop listening for the rest of the trip. Becoming a fundamental part of their journey's soundtrack.

"Mind if I smoke?" George inquired watching Rebecca prepare the tub from the bathroom door frame. She turned to look at him noticing the joint he was holding in the air.

"No, go ahead" she shrugged. The boy smiled nodding as he put the item between his lips and light it on.

Rebecca knew George smoked weed regularly and in fact she just come on a time when grass was really present in the Beatle lives. Rubber Soul hadn't come out yet, but she knew the story that the album had been conceived thanks to that magical plant. She didn't actually care, everyone had to experience with drugs by own hand. And even though she tried it, it wasn't her thing. Also, it was something common among her friends in the future, something normal.
