"I like 'er" Ringo said taking another drag on his cigar.
"Huh?" George muttered confused doing the same as his friend and not being able to understand what Ringo was talking about.
"Vera"
The dark-haired guitarist's face changed when he heard the name. Rebecca Rivera had barely left his mind all day. He couldn't wait to be by her side again. His rational side attributed it of being look after her, lying to himself.
"Yeah, she's wicked, isn't she?" He said in a giggle. "Pretty clever"
"Clever, yes." Ringo agreed "Also pretty and stunning," he added with a spark
George's cheeks flared. Sure, she was pretty. At that moment he couldn't think of another girl who was comparable. She had that something that he couldn't understand.
Pattie's face came to his mind, bitterly, making change his mood abruptly. Pattie was beautiful, not for nothing she had a job as a model, she was the kind of girl that made everyone look at her, set your eyes on her immediately, blonde with blue eyes and round cheeks, perfect body and with the right curves. He had fallen for her like domino piece.
Then there was Vera, she had a more conventional beauty not in a bad way. She was totally opposed to Pattie. Brown hair, brownish eyes, and oval face shape, and remarkable cheekbones, she didn't have as many curves as his ex-girlfriend. It was curious how two such different people could be so beautiful.
"So, y'know if she has a fella' or somethin'? Ye know, in America" The voice of his best friend brought him back to reality.
"Huh, no?" he replied in an indifferent tone. But soon became anxious. He hadn't thought about it until Ringo mentioned it, it hadn't even crossed his head. Rebecca was a very pretty girl; she would surely have a boyfriend. A feeling of bitter discomfort hit his stomach.
"What the hell do I care, I just met her! It's not like she wants..." George said in his mind.
"I don't know and dunno care" he shook his head, forcing himself to speak. Ringo looked at him sceptically. "What?" George looked at him.
Ringo laughed and looked away in denial. "Well, boy. Yew can lie to yourself, but I've seen those silly eyes before. That's all I'll say," he said in a tone that sounded wise... or more like a dad. Making George feel slightly embarrassed. "Ya should know 'bout the chap thing, now you're available," Ringo threw his cigarette on the floor and with the hands in his pockets returned to the studio.

"You know ... I don't think I could stop thanking you for everything you did for me," Becca said honestly looking down at the small carry-on resting on her thighs.
Night fell over London, but it still didn't rain. Wait, this is not the British weather that Rebecca was promised. Darkness and half-light covered George's car in which they were sheltered in front of Jane's apartment, which now would be hers.
"Don't worry, Becca-girl! You don't 'ave to, I'm sure you would do the same if I'd been in your situation" he said smiling fondly.
"Yeah... like every day you can save a Beatle!" Becca responded in the same way.
