Ash's Journeys: Kanto

Pikachu

Ash ran to where he remembered Pikachu was. Misty was right on his tail as the two of them dashed through the storm.

Ash stopped abruptly and looked around.

'Master will come...he will come' a shrill voice echoed in Ash's head.

Ash saw the familiar rock and the familiar yellow Electric-Type Pokemon still on the rock shivering due to the cold.

"You need to get to a Pokemon Center. Come on" Ash said to Pikachu and tried picking him up.

"No! I need to stay here. Master will be back for me" Pikachu said with anger.

"No he's not. I saw him, he said he didn't want anything to do with you" Ash said in his blunt way.

"No! You're lying! Go away!" Pikachu yelled trying to stand up.

Ash sighed and was about to leave when Pikachu fell over from exhaustion.

He sighed again and the human part of him decided to take the stubbornly loyal Pokemon to a Pokemon Center.

He picked up the small yellow mouse and turned around only to come face to face with an open mouthed Misty.

"Y-you can communicate with P-Pokemon?!" She said in awe.

Ash sighed for the 3rd time and shook his head, getting ready for a long conversation.

Ash woke up the next morning in his bed surrounded by Leaf and Yellow.

He sluggishly woke up and got dressed and did his daily routine.

He then walked downstairs to check on the Pikachu he had rescued last night.

When he went down and asked Nurse Joy where Pikachu was, she said that he was gone and most likely left early in the morning.

Ash sighed and walked out of the Pokemon Center. He walked back down to the Route and made it to the rock. Unsurprisingly, Pikachu was on the rock, looking around.

'What do you want this time?' Pikachu asked annoyed that Ash was at the rock once more.

"Just wanted to check on you, you weren't doing too good yesterday. Anyway, how come you're already back? You're still really weak" Ash said calmly ignoring the tone of Pikachu's voice.

'Why do you care?" Pikachu asked in a snarky tone.

"I don't" Ash replied flatly. Then, he turned around on his heel and walked away.

Pikachu shook his head and laid done on the rock, trying to fight of it's exhaustion. In the distance, he saw a man walking to him.

Yes! This is it. He's back! Pikachu thought and tried to get up.

"Look what we have here. A free Pikachu sitting a rock. It might be a little weak, but who cares? A free Pokemon is a free Pokemon" the man said.

"Yes, the boss will be pleased" a squeaky scratchy voice replied.

"Whatever, just put the thing in a bag, it looks weak, it shouldn't put up too much of a fight" a feminine voice said in an annoyed tone.

Pikachu was so weak at this point that he couldn't see clearly. Everything was blurry but he knew that these people weren't his trainer.

"Wait" said a voice "where's my money? This is my Pikachu after all" a voice Pikachu knew said.

"Ugh, here, $700 Pokedollars" the man grudgingly said and pulled out a bag from who knows where.

He walked over to Pikachu only to get slammed to the ground by a green bug-like Pokemon.

"Scy Scyther" Scyther said smiling mischievously. It picked up the man and threw him into a tree and then flew towards the other two and gave them the same fate. Another Pokemon came over and Pikachu could describe it as a small blue Pokemon which doused the 3. Another Pokemon, this time orange, blew fire onto the trio and helped them dry off. A bird then sent the trio on their way to the moon after the flames died down.

'W-what the fuck?!' Pikachu said completely confused.

Ash walked over to Pikachu and placed his hand on it's chest. A blue glow surrounded the Pokemon and it stood up, energized.

Pikachu looked at Damien with hate.

'You son of a bitch'

Pikachu unleashed it's electricity onto Damien who screamed in pain and fell onto the floor unconscious.

"That was interesting" Ash said looking at the damage the Pokemon had caused.

'Whoo hell yeah!' Charmander whooped putting his fist in the air.

Scyther and Pidgeotto sighed and went back into their Pokeballs while Poliwag joined Charmander in his festivities.

Ash returned the 2 new Pokemon and looked at Pikachu.

"So, you want me to drop you off at the Pokemon Center or something?" Ash asked unsure of what to do.

'Nah, I think I'll take up the offer your Charmander gave to me yesterday' Pikachu said and looked up at Ash.

Ash nodded and pulled out a Pokeball from his belt. Pikachu clicked the button on the Pokeball and got sucked in. After a few seconds, it gave a 'ding' and Ash sent out his new Electric Type.

He pulled out his Pokedex and scanned Pikachu.

"Not bad" Ash said looking at Pikachu's stats "I'm going to ask Professor Oak if he can update the Pokedex to show Egg Moves as well.

Just as he pulled out his Pokeball to return Pikachu, the yellow Pokemon shook it's head.

'I hate Pokeballs. Let me stay outside' Pikachu said to Ash who nodded and sighed.

Pikachu gave a happy "Pika" and jumped on Ash's shoulder. Then, the two of them headed back to Cerulean City, getting ready for the amazing adventures they would face together.

A/N: I was watching some old Indigo League episodes yesterday while writing this chapter and the nostalgia hit so hard. I felt like a 5 year old again and it's kinda sad what Pokemon has become and what it used to be. Anyways, 1000 words cyaaaaaaaaaaaa.
