A Battle at the Lab

3rd Person POV

Ever since that fateful day, Ash had changed drastically.

His eyes were now a bright shade of blue. His jet black hair had lines streaks of blue in them as well. Ash had only changed physically, but mentally as well. His was now a lot colder and introverted than ever before. This was quite unusual for a 7 year old but Ash was unusual. Ash told his mom and Professor Oak about his ability to use Aura. Both of them, knowing Ash's father were only slightly surprised. Ash had also told his closest and only human friends, Leaf and Yellow about his ability.

They were very surprised, but just found it as one more thing which made Ash more interesting and cool. The both figured out they had crushes on him but was too oblivious and dense to figure it out much to their dismay.

After greeting the people he saw with either a quick hi or nod, he made his way to the place where the Gible he saved all those years ago hung out.

"Sup Gible" Ash greeted his friend.

Hello Ashy

Ash just sighed and sat down in front of the tree with his back leaning on it.

"Another 8 years until I start my Pokemon journey" Ash said. While he was only 7, Ash had the maturity of a 13 year old.

Yeah. You're going to take me with you, right? Gible asked while sitting on Ash's head.

"Only if you want to come" Ash said.

Of course I do. Just imagine, a champion with a Garchomp by their side. That would be so badass. (A/N: Foreshadowing)

"Yeah, that would be really badass. I wonder if there's anyone out there similar to us."

Somewhere in the Sinnoh Region, a blond haired girl with a Gible sneezed.

"Anyway, I Professor Oak's Pokemon Camp starts tommorow. I hope that it will be fun."

Eh. Probably not. But with your luck, you're gonna meet 2 hot girls. Not the ones you already know of course.

"Did you just say that Leaf and Yellow are hot? Hmmm... I guess they are?" Ash said thinking.

YES. I can be the one to break down his dense wall, Gible thought to himself.

It was now time for the Pokemon Camp. Ash got to Professor Oak's Lab 45 minutes before it started.

"Ash, you know that the Camp doesn't start for a while right?" Professor Oak said as he let Ash in.

"I got bored" Ash said flatly "I've been waiting for 2 hours, I just decided to say hi to Gible."

Professor Oak just chuckled and went back to getting everything ready.

There was another knock on the door.

Ash chuckled while Oak went and opened the door again.

It was Leaf and Yellow.

"Hi Professor Oak! Can we see Chuchu and Bulbasaur?" Yellow said.

"Sure. Ash is here too" Oak replied wiggling his eyebrows.

Both Leaf and Yellow blushed and ran inside.

"Hi Ash" they both said in unison.

Ash gave them a weird look and returned the salutation.

"Why are you guys here so early?" Ash asked.

"Why are YOU so early?" Leaf asked.

"I wanted to check on Gible."

"We wanted to see Chuchu and Bulbasaur." Yellow replied and ran into the back. Leaf followed while shrugged and stood ujp from his chair.

Then, the doorbell rang AGAIN.

Professor Oak groaned ang opened the door.

It was the twins, Blue and Gary.

"Hi gramps" Gary said.

"Heya graamps" Blue greeted.

Oak sighed, "Hello boys. Do you want to see the Squirtles?"

"Yeah, how did you know?" Gary asked.

Professor Oak just shook his head and let them in.

"Oh look, it's Ashy Boy" Gary teased.

"How's it going my favorite dipping sauce?" Blue asked.

"Hello Gary and Blue, I'm pretty sure the right word for dipping sauce, is condiment" Ash replied nonchalantly.

"Ewwwww nerd alert" Blue said and ran off. Gary stuck his tongue out at Ash then followed his brother.

"Okay...?" Ash said to himself and went outside.

He found Gible amd chatted with him for a while. Gible took it as his personal job to make Ash less dense and began working on him.

"Wait, Gible. Are Blue and Gary attacking a Charmander?" Ash asked alarmed.

With Squirtles too! We gotta help it. Gible said determined.

"Alright then let's go."

The duo quickly ran to the Charmander's aid.

"What the heck are you doing?" Ash growled.

"Oooooh Ashy said a bad word" Gary in an obnoxious voice.

"We're gonna show that Charmander that water types are better than fire types." Blue said.

"By ganging up on it?" Ash asked "because you know he could take you 1 on 1."

"Oh yeah? Alright Squirtle let's beat this lizard up" Blue growled.

Can you command me human? Charmander asked.

"Sure" Ash said.

Wait, did you just understand me???

Yeah he did, he's an aura user" Gible said smirking.

Wow that's so cool Charmander said starstruck.

Ash cleared his throat. "Okay then, let's get started."

"Charmander ember, then scratch"

"Squirtle use bubble"

"You too Squirtle" Gary said.

"What? Oh no, Gible use dig!"

Gible dug under the ground with steam rose into the air because of the ember and bubble attacks.

However, Charmander burst through the steam and scratched Squirtle.

Owwww. You bitch Squirtle growled.

Ash, hearing this laughed.

Gary and Blue took that laugh as a taunt and went rage mode.

"BUBBLE NONSTOP" They both yelled.

Gible chose that moment to burst from the surface, sending both Squirtles flying.

"Charmander, ember. Gible, draco meteor."

The two attacks hit both Squirtles head on, knocking them out.

Ash smirked and walked off ignoring Blue's and Gary's enraged taunts.

Both Gible and Charmander followed, the latter deciding that Ash and Gible would be it's first friends.
