Ash POV
I stormed out of the Gym and and to the nearby park to train. We were going to train like hell these next few days to make sure that we would be ready for the next matchup with Koga. There were going to be no distractions, nothing was going to stop me fucking wiping that stupid smirk from his face once all of his Pokemon were lying motionless on the ground.
I soon made it to the park, my pace sped up through my aura boosted speed, and I sat down on a bench and thought about how I would approach this next fight. I would take Gabite with me for sure, and I would start off with him first. He had shown in the last battle that he was easily my best option for this fight, his Ground typing was great, but his battle prowess was invaluable compared to the newer Pokemon on my team.
I had also been caught off guard by having to take three Pokemon with me instead of the two that I had prepared for, so this time I would be better prepared and create a team that would have more synergy with each other.
With Gabite on the roster for sure, I would need to pick out my next two Pokemon. Larvitar had shown that it had some potential in the last battle, but until it learned Ground type coverage moves, there was no real reason to take it along with me. I had no Psychic type coverage at all, so I would need to figure out how to at least have a neutral playing field where I could utilize different strategies to throw off my opponent and win through skill instead of type advantages.
Bulbasaur would be a decent pick as his immunity to being poisoned would come in really handy against the many Poison type attacks that my Pokemon would be forced to take. There was no way I could guarantee that my Pokemon wouldn't be poisoned, so having at least one immunity would be nice.
That meant that I Charmeleon, Scyther, Poliwag, Pidgeotto, Squirtle, Pikachu, Larvitar, and Magikarp to choose from for my final Pokemon. While Charmeleon seemed like a safe option to deal with Venomoth, I couldn't guarantee the same Pokemon would be used in the next fight, so I'd have to come up with another idea.
It seemed like Larvitar would be my best bet, but I would need to make sure that he learned at least one Ground type move before I took my next attempt at the Fuchsia Gym.
Before that, I would need to make sure I had all the Pokemon I needed on me to make sure that I had the most efficient training session possible. With the a sigh at what was going to be a draining next few days, I got up from the park and made my way to the Pokemon Center, ready to get going.
Walking through the sliding doors, I ran head first into Misty, who wasn't looking forward as she ran through the doors. We both fell back, with me landing on my butt hard while she did the same a few feet from me.
"What the hell was that?!" I yelled, annoyed at her lack of awareness.
"Maybe you should watch where you're going!" she yelled back, crossing her arms as she gave me a glare.
"How are you going to tell me to look where I'm going when you're the one running backwards?!"
"Then why didn't you get out the way then, huh? Guess you were to busy looking his hot bod," she replied with a smirk.
I scoffed. "I promise you that I would be one of the last things I would be doing."
She glared at me again, before getting up and storming off to who knows where. I honestly didn't really give a shit, so I walked inside to go get the Pokemon I needed from Professor Oak.
"Are you guys always at each other's throats?" A soft voice came out behind me.
I spun around, to see Sabrina sitting on a lounge chair, giving her a perfect view of the incident that had just occurred.
