"So, basically, we're looking for abnormal behavior?" Theo asks Scott and Jules as they observe all the students walking through the halls. "Anyone acting a little off or a little weird." Scott tells him. "Isn't everyone a little weird in high school?" Theo asks him. "Yeah, good point." Scott tells him.
"You remember Tracy went on a killing spree after reading that?" Theo tells them as they make their way to class. "You think it's a bad idea?" Jules asks him. "I think Malia almost getting run down by a car could've been bad. Well, that's why you guys haven't finished it, right?" Theo says to them. "We're going to." Scott answers him. "Scott, I came here hoping to find a pack. I wasn't planning on watching one fall apart." Theo says to him. "The book's all we've got." Scott tells him as Theo purses his lips.
"Then I'll read it too."

"My mom's book club usually has more wine." Lydia says as they stare at the copies of the book on the table. "Well, they also probably didn't read books that cause violent hallucinations." Stiles says to her. "That's why Malia's here." Scott tells them. "So none of us go running into traffic?" Kira asks him. "Or worse."
"Like what happened to Judy." Malia says. "Chapter 14." She finishes. "Maybe I should have my mother read it. She might remember a girl with a tail leaping off the ceiling and attacking everyone." Lydia tells them. "Yeah, if it works." Stiles says. "It has to." Lydia says.
"What's that mean?" Scott asks her. "I think I saw them during my surgery. When I look at the cover of the book...It's almost like..." Lydia starts. "A memory trying to surface." Theo finishes for her. "Yeah."
"Isn't that what Valack wanted when he wrote it?" Jules asks her. "If they did something to me, I want to know what it is." Lydia says as they all grab copies of the book and sit down to read it.

Hours and passed and Jules didn't understand a single thing she was reading. She felt her eyes closing but punched herself to keep herself awake. " Does anyone feel anything?" Scott asks the group as Jules maya her head in the pillow next to her. "Tired." Kira says. "Hungry." Lydia adds. "Both." Jules finishes as the group continues to read, as it soon turning to night.
All the teens ended up sleeping as the hours went by. Except for one. Theo Raeken. He watched as all the teens slept and made his way to Kira who was repeating the same phrase over and over again. "Watashi wa shi no shisha da." He pulled out his phone and decided to record the phrase as he planned on translating it later.
He then made his was towards Jules, knowing she would soon be a vital part in his plans. He took a strand of her hair in his hand, pushing it behind her ear as he leaned in closer to her face, smiling at the girl in front of him.
