Natalie looked up at the mansion's callendar in the livingroom. There in red pen was the bold print of 'Prom night'. To any normal person those words would make them feel some sort of happyness or even nervousness, but this year, in this family, it meant public war between some sort of hidden threat they knew almost nothing about. (A/N I know what you are all thinking 'Vespers!' but THERE IS NOT GOING TO BE ANY VESPER RELATED THING IS THIS BOOK OTHER THAN THE MEETING OF CHARACTERS THAT YOU WILL BE SEEING IN A MOMENT. Just wanted to get thata out of the way. *que awkward laugh*) Natalie had finished her dress and it was absolutelly perfect. Earings, braceletts, rings, etc. included. Now all they needed to work on was a plan and stradegy.
As if on que, Amy and Ian walked in talking about personal things like drama at school and other things that Natalie did't really care about. Natalie was still listening into their conversation descretely and, boy, was she gonna be glad she did.
She heard some more murmurs as they started talking lower and Natalie casually glanced over when she saw Amy pick up an old looking book with no real apparent title. Natalie saw Amy open the book to see that it wasn't a book. It was a book shell with an open inside with five small objects that were all different colors. Red, blue, yellow, green, and black to be specific. Amy dropped all of them in her hand and picked up the red and black ones. She handed Ian the red one and slipped the black one in her back pocket.
After a few minutes of talking, she walked out leaving Ian and Natalie. Natalie looked back to the calendar. She saw Ian out of the corner of her eyes pick up a book and head back up the stairs. This wasx not getting past her. Investigation will happen sooner or later. Tonight she would find out what had happen.
