[THIRD PERSON POV]

"But I don't want to talk to Bruce!" Davina whined.

"It's either him or Tony Vina." Bucky pressed.

It was the next day, Bucky and Davina had fallen asleep watching How To Train Your Dragon and about 30 seconds after she'd woken up Bucky had started pestering her about getting some tests done about her abilities.

Davina hated tests, she was certain she wouldn't hate them nearly as much if she hadn't grown up in HYDRA. Though Bucky didn't know this was why she was so against it.

"Come on Davina, It'll take like 20 minutes. You need to know what's happening to you." He groaned and followed her to the bathroom.

"Actually, I quite like living in the dark, It's much more exciting." She chuckled and washed her face.

"This isn't funny Davina, it isn't a game." He said, handing her a towel to dry the water from her face.

"Never said it was Barnes." She grinned and exited the bathroom, walking towards her wardrobe and flinging the doors open to reveal a large array of clothes, most of them Wanda's.

"Then stop acting like a child!" He pressed, his voice growing louder with frustration at Davina's refusal to take the situation seriously.

"Why do you care so much Buck!?" Her voice rose with his as she turned around to face his bright red face.

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU DAVINA!" He yelled, slamming his metal fist down onto her desk.

She jumped at his sudden actions but was quick to calm herself. Davina placed her chosen clothes down on the bed and took slow steps towards Bucky, who's breathing was rushed and angry.

She gazed up at him, he shifted his head from her gaze, refusing to look at her. The girl wasn't 100% sure, but she was pretty certain she was witnessing the Winter Soldier's cheeks turning a light crimson colour.

"I love you too Bucky..." She whispered, left hand reaching up to stroke his cheek gently.

He looked up at her for a split second and wrapped his arms around her body tightly. She hugged him back just as tight and traced circled around his back at an attempt to calm him down.

"I'll talk to Bruce love." She whispered.

He pulled away from her, relief spreading across his face as he registered her words. "Really? I mean, you don't have to if you don't want to doll, I was being pushy-"

"It's okay Buck, I'll go find him later." She smiled weakly at his beaming expression.

"Bruce?"

"Davina? Hello, come in."

Davina stepped a little further into the work room Bruce stood in.

"This may seem a little weird-"

"I know why your here Davina Penton." Bruce turned around and sat down at a table, gesturing for the girl to do the same.

"You do?" She questioned.

She walked over to the table he was sat at and pulled up a stool across from him.

He sighed and rubbed his temple. "Tony's suit has camera's on it, him and I were looking back at the footage to try and get a better look at the ship, well, you'll never guess our surprise when we saw a flame dome surrounding.. you." He spoke calmly.

Davina shifted in her seat uncomfortably, unsure of what to say. Luckily Bruce kept on speaking.

"Tony wanted to go and question you straight away but I suggested we wait and see if you come to us."

Davina nodded slightly.

"Now I figured you would either come to both of us, or just me. Because... Well, Tony's scary." Banner chuckled at his own words. "But that's besides the point, I also understand that you have, uhm, something  with the Barnes man, and I figured he would want you to come talk to me."

"Yes... He was very persistent about that." Davina chuckled to herself, recalling the argument the couple had delt with mere hours ago.

"Yes well, unfortunately I have absolutely no idea what is going on with you, and judging from the look on your face when Tony got you back, you had no idea you could do that, am I right?"

Davina nodded in agreement to his question.

"Now I do have reason to believe that whatever these, abilities, are.. Hydra is responsible for them.." Bruce spoke timidly.

Davina breath hitched and she looked down at her hands, clutched together on the table.

Of course everyone knew about Hydra, I was stupid to think Steve would keep that our little secret.

"If you want we could run some tests, just a few brain scans and collect a blood sample. It would help you Ms Penton." Bruce spoke solemnly.

Davina stared at him for a few seconds, addressing what the man had just said. She took a deep, heavy breath before responding. "Okay Bruce, just make it quick." Davina flinched at her own words, she didn't mean for them to come out sounding that harsh.

If Bruce was offended he didn't show it, his features simply smiled. "You don't need to get up Ms Penton, I have everything I need right here." He motioned to the digital device and other medical tools clustered on the metal surface.

"It's Davina." She swallowed as he held the monitor in front of her face, his eyes focused on the consistent beeping sounds the device produced.

He nodded slightly and frowned at the computer next to him.

"What's wrong?" Davina pressed.

"I- I'm not sure, hold on, let me try again." Bruce held the monitor in front of her face again and pressed it lightly against her forehead.

He was quick to put it on the table and allow his eyes to scan over the computer, which Davina presumed the results from the scanner were going to. She watched him with uncertain eyes as he frowned once again at the results. She spied a small bead of sweat building up against his temple.

"What's wrong?" Davina asked again.

"I-"

"Don't sugar coat it Bruce." She cut him off. If there was something wrong with her, Davina wanted the whole truth.

He glanced up at her while turning the laptop around for her to see.

The screen displayed a diagram of a brain, it looked normal to her eyes, apart from the hundreds of tiny red lines overlapping inside the brain.

He gulped and started explaining with a slightly shaken voice. "You see these red lines?" He asked. "Mhm, they're kinda hard to miss." She scoffed. "Yes well, those are radiation lines."

Davina looked up at him, a confused expression plastered across her face.

"Radiation? How is that even possible-"

"That's just the thing Davina... It isn't."
