[THIRD PERSON POV]

Davina flinched back in surprise as a pair of strong arms wrapped themselves around her waist, relaxing once again when realising it was her love. She took in a heavy breath, silently thanking Bucky for the reassuring squeeze he gave her hips.

"We shouldn't have brought her here." Davina murmured, gesturing back to Rebecca, sound asleep in her car seat.

"This is the safest place she could possibly be.. You know that." Bucky whispered into her neck, sending familiar bursts of joy down her spine.

She smiled weakly, turning slightly in his arms. "Clint's going to be so pissed I didn't tell him." She chuckled, turning away from the compound and quietly opening the car door.

Bucky's hand squeezed her shoulder before he moved away to gather the only two bags they had brought with them. He hoped the trio wouldn't have to stay here for long. "They were all going to find out eventually.. you knew that." He spoke warily.

Davina unclipped her daughters seatbelt, lifting her slowly into her arms. They walked in silence towards the elevator, the downstairs emptiness providing a strange sense of comfort. Though Davina knew once the elevator reached their designated level, the comforting sound of silence would disappear.

Her heart beat with astronomical strength against her chest, she felt as if it might explode from her body.

She glanced down at Bucky's grip on their bags as the trio stepped into the elevator, she saw his knuckles beginning to turn a sickly white colour. She opened her mouth to speak, but Bucky beat her to it.

"We're not the same people we were last time we were here Vina.. They may not know that yet.. But they'll find out soon enough." He spoke confidently, as if he was trying to convince himself what he was saying was true.

Davina merely nodded. "It's been almost ten months.. We can't be the only people who've changed." She whispered.

Her voice seemed to loose itself as JARVIS informed them of their arrival to level six.

She felt Rebecca stir slightly in her sleep as the doors opened and several sets of eyes turned to face the small family.

Bucky stepped out from the elevator, gesturing for Davina to follow him. The whole room seemed to be filled with silence, nobody knowing what to say.

Davina felt as if she might just die right then and there, though before she could bury herself in a hole of misery, Wanda skipped forwards, gently tugging the small child away from Davina's body and cradling Rebecca against her own warmth.

Davina let out a laugh of relief, feeling the colour rush back through her body.  Before she could open her mouth to speak to her best friend, strong arms lift her body off the ground and swung her around the air.

Davina squealed like a small child, flinging her arms around Steve as he placed her back on the ground. The Captain hugged her back just as tightly, refusing to let her go for a solid two minutes.

Once she got out of his grasp, the girl looked up at him with pure excitement plastered across her face.

"Guess what Capsicle?"

"You have a kid?"

"I have a fucking kid!" She gasped, surprised by her own words.

Steve smiled down at her. "Language."

Davina glared playfully. "Oh don't start with me Rogers, it's been a long ten months."

Steve rolled her eyes and moved away from the Brooklyn boy so he could embrace his oldest friend.

The girl was instantly greeted with Tony and Clint's arguing. She stifled a laugh and moved closer to them, resting her head on Clint's shoulder. He swung a loose arm around her shoulders.

"Long time no see shortie... I see you've been busy-" Tony's words were cut off by Bucky's arrogant glare from across the room. "Jesus.. Vinnie, you know I love you... But honestly, you could do so much better than Macho Man over there."

Davina snorted back her laughter as she moved away from Clint and embraced Tony in a short hug, he never was one for physical affection, though Davina decided he'd just have to deal with her hug.

Surprise ran through her mind when she moved to pull away and he held onto her tighter.

"Why didn't you call?" He murmured, finally letting go of her as Clint walked away to inspect her offspring.

"I'm sorry Tony.. I couldn't risk anyone hearing her cry in the background.. Or see her.. Or-"

"Why didn't you tell me?" He cut her off with a question.

Davina could practically hear the pain in his words. Her own heart ached with guilt for the secret she'd kept.

Her mind raced with possible answers she could say, though none of them seemed right. So instead, she gestured her head in the direction of Bucky, who was holding Rebecca whilst Clint gazed at her in absolute awe. "Come on, come meet her."

Tony trailed behind her as Davina travelled the short distance across the room to her baby. She smiled at Rebecca, who was now wide awake, her crystal eyes dancing around the new environment she was in.

Rebecca gurgled in happiness as her mother lifted her into her arms, rocking the baby slowly back and forth before turning around to face Tony.

Tony couldn't fight the smile which spread across his face at the beautiful sight of the baby. He sub consciously reached out a hand and allowed Rebecca to hold one of his fingers in her surprising strong grasp.

"Tony.. Meet Rebecca Penton Barnes." Davina whispered softly, chuckling when Rebecca reached out a chubby arm in Tony's direction.

Tony's awkward smile only grew, he opened and closed his mouth a few times before deciding on his choice of words. "Clint owes me $40."

Davina frowned, moving her daughters weight to rest on her right hip.

"Clint owes me $40." Tony repeated, his smile faltering slightly as the baby was moved away from his reach.

Davina cocked her head to the side, silently asking for his to explain.

Tony shrugged. "I bet him $40 that you'd have your life in one piece, Clint bet you wouldn't."

"THAT WAS OUR SECRET STARK!" Clint yelled from across the room, sending Tony and unfriendly glare.

Davina glared back at him, causing Clint to lower his head and walk away like a lost puppy. Davina turned her face back towards Tony, her words being cut off before they even started to form a sentence as Steve spoke up, loud enough for everyone to hear him.

Bucky appeared next to her, his metal arm sliding around her waist, holding their child in his right arm. A heavy weight seemed to drop on her shoulders and Steve began to ramble, fun and games were over..

Now it's time for war.

Hey Hoes.

I just thought i'd apologise, I know it's been three weeks since the last time i've posted, and that isn't really fair on you guys.

There's been a lot on my mind lately, school finishes for the year in a few weeks, so there's a lot of upcoming exams and tests.

I'm going to be completely honest when I say that i've got absolutely no idea when there will be another update. All I can really say is that I hope you enjoyed this update.

I'm not on Wattpad nearly as much as I once was, so it may take me longer to respond to messages, as well as update, I'm trying to focus more on my studies lately.

Thank you so much to everyone who's been reading and supporting, it honestly does mean the world to me.
